  • It's like the octavia release all over again lol Vat free, too much, rip off etc I think car looks great and worth uplift in cost as looks big step forward

  • Apart from my annoyance there is no 280PS in the configurator anomalies exist between the Skoda car configurator and the options listed on car discount websites. Also, some options seem a bit pointles

  • L&K is £4500 more than the SE L, but much stuff is missing. Read parking camera, Travel assist, Media Command. Most of these were included in the reviews but are not standard items on the L&K

Finally, about time!

Something seems wrong - why is there only one petrol engine in L&K trim? Where is the 2.0 TSI 280 PS 4x4?? Typical the model I want isn't on there!

Whoohoo, I will be spending a bit of time on that later. Thanks for the heads up.

Seems 280 L&K isn't there. Is it being launched later or have I missed something?

Yup typical Skoda UK, the 280 DSG 4x4 that everyone wants, (I would be tempted myself) is omitted from the UK line up.

So the UK won't get it at all?

It's odd because some discounter like Coast2Coast  have the 280 priced

It shows the new shape in the configurator but if you simply click on Superb it's still showing the old shape.

You need to click on the ‘Build your Škoda’ link on the left

Yes, I understand that, but it would have been nice to have the model range in front of you telling you what each model gets above and beyond the model before it.

At the moment it's only telling you the details on the Superb II [emoji17]

Yippee!

SE Business - 150 DSG Estate, Met Paint, Sunroof, Elec Boot, Heated Seats all round, Paddles, and some other bits £29.3k.

Disappointing wheel options on the L&K and no all, black interior option, you can't even "downgrade" to what is on offer in the SE L. I know they need differentiators, but one would expect paying a premium the choices ought to be more expansive :(

Has anyone seen a video showing a model in Pacific Blue?

Am reluctant to pay for non standard colours so all along been thinking of white (just £175) but now config is up, am wondering if Pacific blue looks better... as lines & silver trims seem to stand out more.

Not there now.

Found one... Now the conundrum - White or Blue.

£31590 for 6 speed, 150 bhp diesel with five year warranty a quite a few extras some of which I think should be standard.

That is £8k more than I paid when the zero vat offer was on. Here's hoping some offers come along.

I have an Octy in that colour, and it looks classy. Understated, but classy.

hehehh.. not sure if you're helping or not! But thanks...

So, do you reckon this is the Pacific Blue rather than the Petrol Blue?

Apart from my annoyance there is no 280PS in the configurator anomalies exist between the Skoda car configurator and the options listed on car discount websites. Also, some options seem a bit pointless or overpriced or I’d expect them as standard. Taking the L&K trim as an example:

Smart light assist is listed on both the configurator and discount sites but the configurator also lists Light assist with high beam control. You can only choose one of those options on the configurator. I assume the high beam control is the additional part of this option but it’s difficult to tell from the configurator descriptions. One is ‘Smart light assist with Lane assist and BSD’ for £100. The other is ‘Light assist with high beam control’ for £250. Lane assist and BSD are standard options on an L&K so why put it in the description? Why is high beam control not available on car discount sites?

Partition net screen £150 seems like a bit of a pointless feature apart from obscuring rear view for the driver. What’s the practical use here? It also looks like the headlining is altered for installation by looking at the photo of it on the configurator. A dog guard may have been more practical.

Sunblinds for rear side windows (£175) is listed on both the configurator and discount sites but the discount sites also list ‘Manual rear and rear side window sunblinds’ for £250. Also, as the L&K has privacy glass as standard is there much point also including sunblinds?

3 spoke leather MFSW with DSG paddles (£95) is listed on both the configurator and discount sites but the discount sites also list ‘3 spoke supersport multifunction leather steering wheel including paddle shift’ for £350.00. I am guessing the only difference is the ‘supersport’ is a flatbottom type? What’s the £255 price difference about?

Fold flat passenger seat and Boot net are only listed as an option on discount sites. They are missing from the configurator.

Premium WLAN and Phone box cost (£600) seems pretty excessive. Is there much point having high-speed LTE internet in the car? I assume there is extra cost to consider here as you’d need a data SIM card to insert into the car. Most people have smart phones with this already.

SmareGate seems a bit pointless unless you like looking at a bunch of statistics. Maybe refer to it a few times until the novelty wears off then never use it again. http://www.skoda-auto.com/en/experience/product-features/smartgate/

Options I’d expect as standard (especially on L&K):

‘Rear-view parking camera’ – featured on most reviews but optional

‘Retractable parcel shelf’ – should be standard on an estate

‘Rear backrest release from boot’ – again featured as a plus point in reviews but it is optional kit!

I think the rear seat backrest switch in the boot being an optional extra is shocking. Also noted that on the current model the panoramic roof is standard on the L+K but on the new model it's £1100+ option !!

I can answer the rear sunblind Q. Privacy glass does not obscure bright sunshine...well it does not on my Yeti. I have had to use additional sunblinds to completely stop the sun.

Anyone had PCP quotes yet?

Is the 280 not going to be sold in the UK or just not listed as yet?

A snippet of information from the video review of the Superb Estate posted here explained why the fold flat passenger seat is missing on the L&K trim. It turns out that electrically adjustable seats cannot fold flat. So for any trim where electrically adjustable front seats are standard or specified as an extra equpment option the fold flat passenger seat will not be available.

I am still not sure why the boot net option is not available on L&K but it is on say the SE trim in the configurator.
