Try something like weber DGEV 32 or a DCD 28-36, I had a polish copy of a DCD (POLMO DCMP) on an estelle engine and it run great but it had big venturis so the consumption was eneourmos...

Memory says that the first designation should be DGAV. Also, that the DGAV32 was commonly used on the Ford "Essex" 3.0l.

DGAV is the autochoke version  - DGV is the manual choke,

 

Mine came from the 1.6/2.0 Ford Pinto engine

In which case a DG(A)V32 off a 1.6 "Pinto" or a 1.3 or 1.6 Kent will be close enough jetted to get the car running if not for optimal fuel economy.

Don't recall messing around with the jetting on mine, both on the standard and rally engines,

 

Mileage still over 35mpg in both cases - Of course in this day and age it'd be better rejetted
