New Car Time

Featured Replies

Morning all

I am seeing Skoda this week and will be looking to have another O3 VRS off them to replace my 20month old hatchback.

In terms of the finance how does it work... Will it be a new credit check / finance arrangement or will the finance simply add the new car when the old one is handed back and the previous finance is cleared?

New credit check and finance set up. Less any negative equity etc.

Also ask about a pch as well as pcp terms, iv just had my seconed mk3vrs last week, much cheaper with a pch deal, also overall the tweeks to various bits on the latest car makes it a much improved package over my 2013 built vrs, the only negetive no cd player

+1 for PCH

On my mileage it worked out £78 per month cheaper on PCH than on PCP!

Cheers all I'll have a look at that.

I have a car on order with 0% PCP - can someone tell me if its possible to change this to a PCH deal and will it be worth it bearing in mind that there will be interest to pay on the PCH deal.

Figures are £8k down, £265pcm and final payment of £9.5k

I'm sure as long as you're still agreeing to buy he car it shouldn't be an issue - worth checking they have fleet sales though, as not all dealers will do contract hire.

What mileage are you doing, as it still may be of benefit to you to stay on the 0% deal? What model is that on too?

Actually I mis-read that - you're putting a huge deposit down there. You'd be far better off on PCH with that monthly figure / deposit!!

My deal was £950 in (£450 of that was a dealer contribution!) 20,000 miles per year, 3 year agreement, £387 per month on a L&K.

Hope that helps!

Hi, Mine is SE L 150 DSG estate, with a number of extras.

Total cost £26,920 on 10k miles per year

It may be worth having a look at the L&K you know...

I looked at the SE-L first with a few options added, but you don't get your money back at the end, so actually the residuals weren't as good as the L&K, and subsequently had higher monthly payments!

Another plus is that they will probably have standard L&K's built, so you'll get one quicker than factory ordering too - well worth looking into!

Is there not a CD player slot inside the top of your glove box?

Not on MY16 cars...just a blanking plate where the CD player used to be! Absolutely daft decision if you ask me.

Yep been the talk of this forum for some time. The logic of removing the CDDrive. SD cards being readied as we speak in anticipation of an imminent delivery.

aLso with the poor depriciation of these mk3's, you may end up with more cash at the end of the deal by putting the remainder of your deposit in an isa, and no px to worry about if you want to change to another brand, down side is you have to keep on top of the condition of the car, also dont buy from simpsons after reading the thread on here, I had no issues with my dealer
