Just so i can compare with my current car and ofc pbirketts new machine.

Nice choice btw, i dont see the issue with 'french' cars. Have fun and play safe :)

You barsteward...I was thinkin' of getting that...but got skeptical because of it's french nationality...

It's definitely gonna be my next car :) When, I don't know :(

Good one dude :) Post some pics, and tell us what mods you're gonna be giving it :D

Well having had the vRS, I can say that the ingear performance of the vRS is likely to eclipse that of the 182, but not by as much as you might expect... but the Clio is very definitely faster if you rev it hard.

@ Mil.... I'll get some pics up as soon as I can.... I wont be modding it though... it feels like a complete car out of the box TBH...

Enjoy it Paul.It seems to be (as a drivers car) the most highly rated hot hatch out of all of them.

Do you get the lights that automatically come on when it starts going dark?

Can you say anymore about the car in comparison with the Fabia VRS? It's a good 200kg lighter that must help things along nicely. What kind of mpg are you getting from it? How does the handling compare on bumpy, twisty roads?

he doesn't have it yet so i image he's using no fuel in it at all. beat that rollerskate boys! :P

the in gear times may be better in the fabia but who cares about in gear times if you don't drive a tractor like diesel, the perol will happily drop a gear or two and beat the diesel anyway so ner ner ner ner ner

The 182 should be a LOT faster from standstill as less gear changing going on.

As for fuel consumption - if you rev the nutz off it it won't be too great on that. If you drive it a little more reserved then it should get good fuel consumption figures.

It's the same for the Octy petrol ones - you can trash it and get cr@p MPG, or ease off a little and get pretty respectable figures. The Furby vRS isn't that frugal either when you really trash it through the (small ;)) rev range :D

10795 is quite over priced you could get them brand new for that when they first came out

i hope it does have both cup packs or it wont be worth **** at trade in (well it wont anyway) they are going for around 7k + now

Had a quick go of a 182 with cup suspension (dark wheels) round some country lanes in cheshire. Was good fun. Even with my mum holding on for dear life in the back.

I'm sure you'll have lots of fun. Now book a trackday :D

Le Renault Clio 182, cest un voiture tres bien. Chavyboy used to own one IIRC.
