Thanks Wardy, I think the new owner is enjoying the car however sadly I don't think the car is going to get the TLC I gave it

He text me last night asking what I used to wash the car with? I said the list is very long and that I would typically spend 3-4 hour per week on the car, Sometimes longer.

The next text he sent said he had parked the car under a tree and it was covered in tree sap and he had no idea what to use to remove it so he took it to the petrol station car wash

The paint will probably already be ruined as we speak.

Yes some things are best left unknown, Not much I can do about it plus I am not really in a position to dictate to the new owner how I would look after the car.

Don't laugh......  :D  :peek:

Is that body kit standard?

Is that body kit standard?

Yes, Its a Suzuki Ignis Sport.

They where built alongside when Suzuki competed in the Junior Rallycross Championship.

1.5 16V VVT, 110BHP & 945kg....Even has some nice Recaro's. Wheels from the factory are Enkie's in white but on mine they have been powdercoated Gloss Black. Its an honest and tidy little car, I bought it off a friend very cheap! Going to stick the standard springs back on next week and fit some Winter tyres.

In an odd way, I really like that suzuki, I am guessing has quite a lot of character and goes fairly well considering the size and engine?

It is what drew me to getting it, It is a bit of an ugly ducking but you kind of like it for that reason plus they are quite rare nowadays. My friend who I bought it off and have known for a good 20 years really looks after his car's and has had 2 Suzuki Ignis Sports. He only ever buys Japanese cars, Mitsubishi Evo 8MR, Integra DC5, Nissan 200sx etc. He usually has a Daily Driver also while whichever toy he owns at the time is garaged over winter.

Its quite fun to drive and goes well enough, The little 1.5 is very responsive especially with the VVT and the gearbox has a low Final drive with close ratios which helps, Does 35-40mpg easily and I am quite happy to drive it to work in the snow and leave it parked up anywhere too.

I suppose its just about simple fun, I only paid £1000 for it, Its got recent discs and pads all round and all the calipers and hubs are painted, A full "Quiet sensible" Stainless exhaust, Wheels have been recently refurbished, Loads of history with it and is in really good condition. Plus I have it on a mirrored insurance policy from the Golf so its cheap to insure.

Doubt I will be making a project thread for it though but might give it a bit of a detail and take a few pics.

Sounds good, one of those little cars that wheedles its way into your heart and then you never end up selling, until it dies.

Reminds me of a proton Satria GTI for some reason but that could just be me being daft!
