Bluetooth connection - new module required?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I had to get a new phone this week (smashed the screen of my Samsung Galaxy S3), so went for the Huawei Ascend Mate 7. Great phone, only problem is it won't connect to the bluetooth module of the Superb! The MFD just says "Phone isn't compatible" or somesuch. Bit of a surprise because I bought a new bluetooth module 3 years ago when I bought the S3! So I wasnt anticipating any problems this time round.

Anyways, the module I have is 5K0035730D. Has Bluetooth in new phones moved on so much now that all new smartphones won't work with this module, or is something specific to the Huawei likely to be the problem? I could buy a new module off eBay (3C8035730E), but can anyone confirm or give strong advice that this would solve the problem?

Cheers in advance for any help!

Declan.
