New Warranty for Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

I've had the excess amended to £250, so now paying £230. Considering I was going to pay £400 at the dealer I'm well chuffed with this. Thanks again zom414.

No probs, glad to have helped someone save a few quid.  After making this thread I forgot to do mine so just done it now and got it for £159.84 so that'll see me going till I sell it next year.

Yes thanks, Zom14, as I had the same email though yesterday with a good quote of £207 (with no excess) and initially I was a bit sceptical.

However, reading your posts and the others following, plus looking at the T & Cs of the scheme, it does seem a good deal.

I have not read the T&C's / Exclusions with that Extended Warranty,

i imagine it will be the same as the 'Skoda Approved Extended Warranty' that Car Care Plan ltd did.

Basically, you must observe the Manufacturers Service Schedule / Guidelines.

No Driving School, Courier, Taxi type commercial use.

No Motorsport Events. (Trackdays are not Motorsport.)

Modifications only where approved.  etc

For a Private Car being serviced at a VAT Registered Garage with OEM parts it seems to be perfect.

EDIT.

Read it now from the PDF.

Much the same Exclusions as in the Car Care Plan Cover.

(Motorsport not the test used.) Offroad, Competition, Rally, Speed Testing/Endurance, practice for etc. (paraphrase)

I've just had this offer too,

£200.18 less than 10k, no excess, named component cover

£207.25 less than 18k, no excess, full cover

As Skoda are paying I'm going to ask if they will do the full cover which I would have gone for, e silly not to for £7 wouldn't it!! Might chance my arm and ask for the less than 15k cover, still only £212

Just saved a fair chunk on this link, especially as the dealer needed an £80 inspection fee on top! Nice one, don't know why I never got this email once the warranty ended.

Bump.   For anyone that missed this.

Well worth looking at if your Original or Extended Warranty is coming to an end.  IMO.
