Ricoh Caplio 400G wide tough camera SOLD

Ricoh Caplio 400G wide tough camera. These are a really rugged camera that were shock proof and waterproof to 1m when they were new, although I cannot guarantee that the seals are still in tact. They were marketed for harsh environments such as building sites but also made a good adventure type camera. Unusually for a digital camera there is an optical viewfinder which is ideal when you are using the camera in bright sunshine. The lens is a 3x optical zoom lens, equivalent to 28-85mm.

As you can see from the photos this particular camera has had a busy life and is not cosmetically perfect. However it works just fine. It powers up, the zoom works smoothly (it operates within the casing to protect it from damage) and it takes pictures. I have tested it using a 16mb SD card (included) and a 2gb SD card, but I very much doubt it would work with larger SDHC cards. I have not tried connecting via USB.

The camera will run on a pair of AA batteries, so you could either run it on a pair of regular AA batteries, a pair of rechargeable AA batteries or get the rechargeable LION battery that is specific to the camera. I am including a pair of Ni-MH batteries and a UNiROSS USB Charger.
