Xenon Headlight

Featured Replies

Hi

I am new member of this forum but it has helped me a lot in solving problems with my Skodas over the last years.

My Skoda Superb has a faulty headlight (curve light not working) and my local Skoda dealer/workshop said I needed to replace the headlight. A new original headlight is very expensive but I see that Hella makes headlights without the Skoda logo for 1/3 of the price. The part number for my original headlight is 3T1 941 015E. The "unoriginal" Hella light is said to be compatible with original part number 3T1 941 017E.

Does anyone on this forum know what the differences between these part numbers are and does anyone know if this headlight will fit my car?

Any help is highly appreciated.

A similar question was asked on the forum in January 2013 and never received an answer.

By the sounds of it the mechanism inside the light that causes the beam to turn has failed. as you said it is a new light that's needed.

I would find some that match your original part number. From looking online the 017E might not have the same functions as yours

When I look at the Hella replacement light, it appears to have the same functions as mine. The part number is 1ZS 247 047-331. If you follow the link below and press "OEM reference" at the bottom of the page, it appears that it fits 017E but I wonder what the difference is. My Superb is a 09 1.9 TDI (105 HP) and is appears to be compatible in "Applications" list at the bottom of the page. I really don't want to buy the wrong part.
