Socket storage ideas

Featured Replies

Just purchased a new tool chest/drawer set but can't decide on how to store individual sockets. I've had a look around but most sites seem to be American, thinking of getting a few snapon rails and screwing them to a larger piece of wood that sits in the drawer?

Anyone got any pictures of their setups?

It's maybe a bit low-tech, but I used to bang nails into a beam on the wall for odd sockets in the "majors only" set.

Not too sure about the beam idea, I'm thinking something more like this

Don't you just love an ocd fitted out shed :-)

The "nails in a beam" was for odd things, like the 36mm hub nut socket, the 10 and 14 mm plug boxes that weren't even bough as part of sets...
