truth is a lot of people do go to uni purely for the 'atmosphere' and the experience. they only work so they can go out drinking and have a laugh with their mates.

However, I'm a student, I have never wandered the streets pi$$ed and have never mindlessly vandalised anything. So to you lot of stereotyping ****s.

Sorry to hear about the damage to your car. Hope the **** who did it gets cancer.

The problem is not the government, the police, alcohol or even students. The problem is people. I used to get seriously lagged on a regular basis, but never vandalised anything. Alcohol is just an arseholes excuse for being an arsehole. Proper sentencing might help. Damages someones car? Fine em parts and labour plus compensation for lost time, in addition to their fine for the offence. Pesronally, I would see em shot.

Thanks for all the replies, I bought some new wiper blades today but the arms are mis shaped as i have had to bend them back, and i will be calling Skoda tomorrow about getting a new roof ariel.

Still pi55ed off about it tho, and have to agree with the posts here that say it is people with no respect for others peoples property and the fact that society has appeared to have gone to the dogs!

**** me. Just logged on there and bloddy hell what have I started. Apologies to students out there, it was a generalisation but pretty much reflective of the sort of thing we get from students in Belfast. I used to be a student myself and i'd never have even considered touching someone elses car, pis sed or not.

Mate saw some student scum take a flying kick at his wing mirror on his type R Civic last year. The car was only about a month old and the scrote destroyed the mirror, dented the door and scratched the wing.

No offence guys. On reflection it was maybe one of those statements I should have thought but not typed.

In my 4 years at uni I got lashed many times, but never damaged anyone's posessions - I can honestly say that I have never seen any other student do so either.

As a rule you'll probably find vandalism is done by stupid people.

No serious penalties though,so do they care ? No.Is it the Governments fault? Yes.If a country was strict enough for people to know they would get toasted for any carp like this they would think twice.

Parents fault? Yes as well.Scut the buckets prepared to go to schools and complain if their kids are told off at school for burning it down.Those parents should be on the prison ship just moored off the cost.
