Not suprised..They never marketed the Roomster in any meaningful way, so I have little doubt that SUK have declined to have the replacement, clutterin their UK yard up, so to speak

Sad thing is apart from a few easy changes they could have used the caddy life or maybe that is the problem it would detract from the also low volume caddy life sales

A well, have to start looking for another manufacturer if that's the case...

We've just ordered a tourneo titanium in the blue colour. Amazingly practical car and extremely well specced. Long waiting time though

My previous car was a Fiat Multipla which was brilliant. The six seats and when they were removed the space was cavernous. That model was pulled because of its quirky looks and low selling volume. I migrated to the Roomster which also has quirky looks but I bought one because of its practibility. Unfortunately it has suffered the same fate as the Muiltipla!

What engine did you go for? I would be leaning toward the 1.6 150ps Auto. I've get a fiesta 1.0 100ps as a second car and it's quite punchy but I think it would be a mismatch in the Torneo, I've not driven one though. I quite like the looks, they aren't as upsetting to the eye as the multipla (sorry) titanium is a good spec, you won't be disappointed! What's the lead time then?

It's actually the new 1.5 td with 115ps I think (wife ordered it - I had little input)

I pointed out the 1.6 150 but it was Auto only and she won't entertain an automatic.

We have not even been given a date - all the chap could do was suggest mid November.

We had a good look inside and out and even got to put the children in - they loved it. The Titanium spec is excellent and all the black plastic stuff is colour coded so hopefully it should look good.

This would be my choice too, although Road Tax is high (£230 from memory)

My previous Roomster was manual, but I love the DSG on my current Roomster and would not want to return to manual.

Whenever it comes - enjoy!

Nissan and Citroen are doing some fugly cars at the moment if you're in the market. ;)

I had to say farewell to my 1.6TDi Roomster recently. Driving a DPF equipped diesel with four drivers using it, two of them teenagers, is just not practical especially with a lot of short "practice runs" by the teenagers. I did go looking for a petrol version and at £13000 I found a black 89BHP with half leather in a dealer nearby. Apparently all the £9995s have gone. However, for £9995 I could have a 64 plate, petrol Nissan Note which already has Bluetooth, Cruise and spare wheel, so no need to add the extra £800 to the price of the Roomster. Bit of a no brainer really.

I think we need to get formal notification from Skoda UK, before we can believe that the new Roomster will not come to the UK.

It will be a sad lose if we are to loose it.

The only problem with the note is that it cannot hold a full sized spare.  For me that is an absolute must have.

Oh, and it's built from Renault bits (albeit better screwed together than by the French).

Hope you don't have too many problems with it.

So far so good with the Note. A Space saver was readily available, unlike some brands where there have been delays. Step forward Suzuki UK who have had space savers on back order for weeks for the new Vitara.
