.... Cross Climates look good from the reviews on here. Can I use them with P7s on the rears? (the rears have 5mm+ so not keen to replace them if I  don't have to.)

Do not mix summer and winter tyres. There will not be so much of a problem in the dry, but when you get onto snow the winter tyres will have very good traction and the summer tyres will loose it rapidly. If you have winter tyres on the drive wheels you will be able to get away quick, but when it comes to braking and cornering and you trust in your new winter tyres the back will overtake you.

If you keep the summer tyres on the front, getting off the spot and cornering will be just as bad as with 4 summer tyres.

  • Hi!   I have been running Cross Climates on my 1.6tdi for the past few months and have found them to be excellent, especially in the wet, as I did an unconventional comparison with my work colleague

As above 2 can be worse than none.....
put 4 on the now and sell the 2 you have on the car on the forum
You won't regret it

I have had these tyres fitted for 14 months now, and done 12500 miles in that time. The car passed the mot today and the report says 7 mm back tyres 6 mm front tyres. These are the slowest wearing tyres I have ever had, they have great grip as well very impressed by them !

Thanks for this. I'd hoped not to replace all four as I plan to PX the car in January. Guess it might have to be P7 replacements and get the right tyres for the new one.
