It is a damsel fly, we get loads in our garden.

Nowhere near as good as previous pictures, but snapped this one a couple of weeks ago whilst I was having a coffee in Rotterdam :)

I love this thread :)

Pretty picture :)

Thank you :)

Yes, but it is only a cheap phone, so I don't think it makes much money :(

I rescued a big jade green dragonfly the other day which was in the middle of the A26.  Drove past it, turned around, pulled over, hazards on.  Guy coming the other way could see what I was doing so slowed right up and waved me across, traffic on my side stopped. I went and scooped it gently up and waved a thanks to the car drivers.  One of 'em gave me a thumbs-up.  Walked across the grass verge and put it on a large leaf, only to notice it didn't have a head

Gaz

:peek:  :'(

A few varieties.......

I don't know if I want to go and get a macro lens or run away and hide!

Lovely shots there.

Nothing quite so advanced as a maro lens for me - the first one was taken with a Canon EOS M and 22mm pancake lens.

The more recent shots were taken with a Panason Lumix TZ70 (F7.1, 1/100th sec).

found this on the crane at work not phased at all by moving the hooks . hand in shot is for sizing .it was a big bugger
