I personally fit them to all cars as it keeps the car marginally cleaner the main reason is to try and prevent stone chips and tar spots.

Agreed I'll get some :-)

I'll also order a few bits from Skodadop ans see how it goes.

I am awaiting to hear from an eBay seller (regarding the FBSW) before I place my order with SkodaDop, but their sale that the FBSW’s were in has finished now  :wall:

I will also take a chance on the pedals as the LHD ones apparently fit the Rapid, Octavia and new Superb, so it’s worth a punt IMO.

Yeah I was thinking about the pedals as well.... I'll be surprised if they don't fit... I'll drop them an email now...

Edit : mail sent about pedals

Oops I edited that bit out!

I sent SuperSkoda an email and they wouldn’t deny or confirm they would fit!

That's rubbish ! I'll wait and see what Skodadop say. Or I may just order them tonight lol !

Just purchased my 1st accessory ... private L&K plate  :D

Nice one ! I've got a bit attached to my scout plate... Probably put it on the superb although it's doesn't really go....

Go on, what did you get?

On the iPad holder, I presume its a generic tablet holder as I don't own an iPad nor have any intention of buying one, but the kids have Google Nexus tablets.

Would I need 2 holders then?

Thanks Nick_H - I was searching for info on this myself, but no luck yet.

And the moral of this story !! Don't order stuff when you've had a few beers  !!! Hopefully they can sort the Mats out if they are wrong.... Good test of their customer service !

Not wanting to cause worry and almost certainly a dumb question on my part - but - are front mats the same for UK as for Europe, considering LHD/RHD differences?

Thanks Nick_H - I was searching for info on this myself, but no luck yet.

I've managed to find out that the RHD part number for these mats is 3V2 061404 as opposed to 3V1 061404 for the LHD set.

Hope this helps

Thanks Pete. Fingers crossed they also have them.... Let's see what they say :-)

Correct I did a post covering this a few years ago:

The (example) part number 5K0 035 552 A breaks down as follows:

Set1 5K0

The first two digits are the specific model (chassis code) the part goes on. Sometimes it's for a specific engine or transmission and sometimes these parts are shared across models. The chassis code can be found in the 7th and 8th digit of the car VIN. In this example 5K means it's from a MK6 Golf The third digit shows if the part is different on left hand drive cars (LHD) or right hand drive cars (RHD). If it's there's no difference. If it's 1 it's for LHD and if it's it's for RHD. In this example it fit's both so it's 0.

Set2 035

The fourth digit is the main group. This corresponds to what ETKA section and illustration you can find the part in. In this example main group is 'extra's':

The main groups are:

1 – engine, clutch (ie, turbo, timing belt, air/fuel filters)

2 – gastank and pipelines, exhaust system, heater

3 – transmission

4 – front axle, differential, steering (ie., front suspension)

5 – rear axle

6 – wheels, brakes

7 – hand and footlevers, safety covers (ie., pedals and shifter)

8 – body

9 – electrical systems (ie., v-belt, starter, ignition, instrument cluster)

0 – extras (ie., optional parts, radio, and optional wheels)

The fifth and sixth digit are the subgroup.

Set3 552

Digits seven, eight, and nine are random numbers.

Set4 A

This is a version or revision code.

Sometimes a revised part comes out or it's slightly different on models with different engines. A newer version doesn't mean the old version isn't the newest one that will work on your car. They will use a, b, c., etc., but also skip letters. Sometimes they name them aa, ab, ac, etc. Usually the newer part has a later letter. If it's "x" it means the part is rebuilt.

Set5 8z8

This is a colour code, (not used in the above part No.)

Go on, what did you get?

L44 NDK

That's really good! I went with the more conservative: SS03 MFS  (My third Superb and a Superb Mk III / my initials). Seemed rude not to :-)

It took several hours and more combinations than I care to remember to arrive at something i was happy with, I don’t like plates that try too hard (some may say this one tries too hard!) but I am happy with it.

There are several similar on the DVLA site if anyone is interested.

Back on the LHD/RHD: armed with Google and the new part number for RHD front mats, got this:

http://www.skoda.lt/katalogai/Documents/Superb_Accessories_ENG.pdf which lists the RHD part numbers, and appears to have a bit more detail than any other brochure I've seen.

Disappointing not to find it on Skoda's UK site yet...

Would I need 2 holders then?

They are generic which is why they call them Tablet Holder as opposed to iPad Holder. It slides to fit, gripping top and bottom. It will hold anything from a smartphone in portrait orientation to a tablet in portrait orientation (don't know what the actual min/max sizes are).

You've gotta figure one holder, one device!

That brochure also confirms that the LHD pedals (5E1 064 205) will fit the Superb (same part number as the Octavia & Rapid) so the RHD set 5E2 064 205 will also fit.
