1) Ipad holder. Without this my little 'Un says she would not let us sell the Scout :-D

2) Mudflaps

3) Carpets ( mats )

4) Rubber mats - May just go for these first as it will be pushing on winter

5) Rubber boot mat - Hopefully that reversible one that I've seen kicking around on the forums

6) Have I seen a rubber transmission tunnel cover for the rear somewhere ?

7) I have a silver stick on protector on the rear load area that I purchased when we have a Briskoda group buy. It looks great on the Scout. Would the Superb benefit from something similar or would it look crap ?

Have I missed anything ? What will you be buying for your new superb ?

My choices

1 Definitely

2 Must have

3 Must have, but they come as std on the L&K

5 maybe if I can find the reversible one

6 not for me

7 though about this but I doubt I will go for it

FBSW?

stainless / rubber pedals? (5E2 064 205)

Exhaust  trims .... Naw don't need them ..... hehe ... ;-)

3) OK Show off :-)

5 ) We need to get our heads together about this....

6) With a 9 year old in the back I think this is a must have for me..... That bit on the Scout seems to get some proper hammer ....

7) Yeah I think it may look out of place on the Superb .... Dunno though .... Maybe a Matt black one on Corrida Red ?

Stainless Pedals !!! Fantastic find ! How much are those ?

Whats FBSW ?

I think matt black or carbon effect will look nice

Pedals €40

Need to double check they will fit though... the LHD cars use the same pedals as the Octavia/Rapid so there should be no reason why the RHD ones will differ from the Octavia/Rapid?

Flat Bottom Steering Wheel, not sure how this will look in a Superb but worth the risk IMO

I would want the silver or black stitching though (ordered Business Grey) again needs to be checked it will fit, but I cannot imagine it will not... you may need to use the multi function buttons from you ‘old’ steering wheel (I had a vRS steering wheel in my MKII Superb).

The main benefit is the wheel uses perforated leather and is slightly thicker, which I found much better.

Yes I like the look of the wheel.... Def interested in that. Pedals if they fit are a no brainer. Have them on the Scout and would def like them on the superb. Especially at that price ...

That's a point, floor mats, will the car come with a set??

Only the L&K gets them as std

Only the L&K gets them as std

Well that's a bit rubbish :(

Lease cars usually come with mats I think, best check with the dealer!

If you are rural like me you may want to consider wheel chains and or winter tyres as 4x4 is no use unless you have the grip.....

Ah yes already got my winter tyres.

Also need to find out what bulbs the front foglights take so I can fit some 4,300K (to match the colour of the Xenon’s)

May need top up Adblue too if you are a diesel owner....

City dweller so winters not really needed.... Have used a decent set of socks though in anger over the last couple of winters.

Only used them on the front wheels and have been astounded at how they work. Only driving very slowly over 2 to 3 miles max but it's almost like their was no snow !

To add.... If the weathers really crap I just walk to work. It's only 3 miles.

We got caught out a couple of years ago as we live 750 ft up on unsalted roads and the snow came while we were out so we are very mindful and I hope prepared now of impending weather. Those socks are amazing if treated carefully our post lady uses them on her van and they work well. Not so good on compacted snow though....

2) No. Last car I had with them just helped build up the snow quicker in the arches in winter so got rid of them.

3) Already come with L&K. May replace later if they're poor quality as I did with the Superb II.

4) No

5) Hoping to pick one up in Germany next week if the local German dealer has it in stock or can get it in time (I'm only there for 10 days). Škoda UK say they can't be ordered in the UK. (3V5061163) ***

There is another version that is also reversible and has a 60/40 split fold to cover the folded down seats but, as it's not what I want, I didn't ask SUK if that was available in the UK... (3V5061210)

6) Yes, in the German accessories brochure or skodadop. If SUK don't make the boot mat available in the UK, what are the chances they'll make this available? Not on my wish list though.

7) Got a black ABS one on the Superb II estate. Not sure yet if I'd want it on the new hatch.

I will also get the velcro luggage retainers if they don't already come supplied with the car (which I very much hope they do).

*** My dealer managed to order non-standard-option wheels listed in the German accessories brochure that aren't shown in any of the UK brochures, so I'll have a word later this week to double-check if the boot mat really cannot be ordered in the UK.

A choice I don't have as I need them for my winter trips to Germany, so wheels and tyres already sorted.

Tyres are compulsory, socks are not an acceptable alternative, and chains are generally only required in the southern alpine regions (I stay north).

To be honest, since I started using winter tyres in 2009 just before they became compulsory in Germany, I'd still have them fitted even if it wasn't compulsory.

There seem's to be a myth you only really need them in snow, which in most of the UK probably accounts for 1 or 2 weeks during a typical winter. The truth is they outperform "summer" tyres when the temperature drops below 7ºC, when normal tyre rubber hardens but the higher silica content of winter tyres keeps them pliable. So mine will typically go on mid to late November and come off late March, weather dependent.

Just had confirmation from SkodaDop that the FBSW will fit the Superb MKIII

Just a thought but people may need to check with insurance company before changing steering wheel or other accessories in case the insurance company don't like it due to air bags etc. as insurance companies will void insurance if not told of some changes beforehand. Lady who hit us had hers voided from inception (don't know reason) and that is before the impact of drink driving charges. She now facing court case from Insurance company to recover costs of everything including 2 write offs plus her own and all costs etc...

Well that's a bit rubbish :(

That's pretty bad if you can't a set of mats on such an expensive car.  Never been an issue an any car I've owned.  The lounge step (in the rear) is only on the L&K alright and I would assume that the factory fitted mats should be standard on the SE L models up i.e. the fitted type that clip to the floor.

Both SE L’s I have seen have the (drivers side at least) locating clips in the floor... but the mats may have been specced on the order form as they are a £80 ( !! ) option, but being demos they both had various options added like electric seats, phonebox, spare wheels etc.

That looks like a great website... Are they reliable ?

Having second thoughts now about the mudflats.... Are they really needed on the superb ? I haven't missed them on the Scout ....

I personally fit them to all cars as it keeps the car marginally cleaner the main reason is to try and prevent stone chips and tar spots.
