Does anybody know how easy it would be to replace the handbrake handle? I've looked through the workshop manual but I can't seem to find the instructions on replacing the handle (to be specific the leather around the handle but I think it's all one piece)

Not sure, but it's not difficult.

When I picked up my car, the dealer noticed a mark on the top of the handbrake handle and changed it with another one there and then before I drove it away.

Apparently it just pulls right off bit not entirely sure how.

Does it just unscrew? 

 

And why do you want to replace it?

Its damaged, i Cant believe its not in the workshop manual

Does the gaiter around the handbrake pull up (away from/out of the central console)? If it does maybe there's something under/in there to allow you to unclip the handle?

I'm having the exact issue in my Octavia III. Handbrake handle/grip is worn (bite by dog) and needs to be replaced.

hello, there is a small hole on the bottom side of the handbrake release pull, into which you insert a screwdriver perpendicular to the handle and press, this will release the chrome pull, take it out. then just remove the handle.
