Stat was £18 and CTS was £22 then a couple of pounds for o rings and a clip.

New tyre and rim Saturday.

Uniroyal Rainsport 3's in OEM 205/50/17 profile.

And 17 inch spiders refinished in the correct Candy White by Wicked Wheels Kent.

All loaded in the back of Leo for transportation home.

Replaced thermostat and Coolant Temp Sensor today. Also replaced all the tubes that commonly split under the inlet manifold.

That is the t piece pipe out of the crankcase then one pipe goes to a nipple under the inlet manifold. The other end goes to the Y breather tube to the right of cam cover.

Wow Pete I hope this (epic) project was cheap... there is not going to be much left of the original car at this rate

I have 2 X brand new OEM Continental Contisport tyres. So just need another 2. I will then use them for shows only. Wouldn't want to drive about on 10 year old + tyres.

Sod it mines going white on white

A couple of things ticked off of the list today. Firstly rear heated screen didn't work. Was a faulty dash switch. Devonutopia kindly sent one out in the post which arrived today. A 2 minute job to fit and rear heated screen now works. Also fitted a new coolant reservoir bottle as the original one had discoloured. Looks much better now.
