Exactly right

That's why mine will be going on a Hunter Lazer Rig and not just a tracking one at Castle Tyres

NOT 70s prices then???? ;)

Strewth...It took some cleaning didn't it Wayne?

Dirt and more dirt!!

However....I have to say, despite the obvious small bumps and scrapes inflicted by the previous owner, that you appear to have a decent car this time

I just hope its reliability claims are justified for you

The price you paid was about right and it should last well in the next few years

The paintwork cleaned up well and two coats of sealant will easily see it through the winter

You can't still be driving around in the Auris Wayne?

  • Author

Er

Yup! :)

Hey

U got an Auris too?

Which year/trim?

Yes, We bought a 2013 Auris last month.  We needed a family car that was cheap to buy & cheap to run, it also had to be cheaper/comfier than my van for my 15,000mile per year commuting for work, this should be good for our 25-30k per year.

SWMBO's RAV4 has been awesome over the last 6 years, cheap/reliable etc so we looked at Toyota's and this one is ideal, a 1.6petrol (no hybrid) Icon Sports Tourer (not sure about the Sports name).  It's a fantastic car for the money, were getting 43mpg average, its quiet/comfy and big enough for the family, I miss the turbo grunt but a 130bhp screaming n/a petrol is fantastic.

I've bought some 17" wheels & will get Cruise Control & the Windows tinted & that is all I intend to spend

Cool

I only getting 48mpg in winter

And 52mpg in summer

Still for a 130bhp hybrid with auto transmission and no road tax - it's good :)

I missed the turbo/power surge too!
