anyone upgraded to LED registration lights?

Featured Replies

Hi all

Just noticed the other night that the rear number plate lights are just normal yellow looking bulbs compared to the rest of the rear tail light all being led!

Anyone know if this is a simple bulb swap or new lights swap or is it more complicated than that? Don't want to throw any errors up or blow fuses! !!

Tried the search button but never got results I was looking for:)

How old is your Superb?

Late models can accept LED bulbs via a tick box in VCDS, earlier ones require an inline resister soldering in

If, as stated above it's a later car Skoda do a replacement LED lamp, in fact I am thinking of getting them fitted... Part number: 000052110 they are about £6.00 each.

Mine is a MY2015 with the LED DRL's

Mine is a my2014 (64 plate) led front & rear but they don't finish it off with the reg light's !!

This just a swap or needing plugged in to change the settings? ?

I think they need coding to work... On ETOS (Parts system) it also states

"SVM code for coding 31DB9"

Oem.. VERY overpriced. U get them cheaper if u just look after them! :-)

In the newer superb u disable the diagnostics so it handles led license plate in VCDS :)
