Hi Guys. The time has come for me to get to grips with my winter detail as the colder months approach. I'm fairly busy the next few weeks, months etc so weekend just gone (and today) was the only time i could do it all. A write up & pictures below. Enjoy. :)

 

-Wheels cleaned with Bilthamber Autowheel. Rinsed & Iron X Applied & Rinsed

-Prewashed/Foamed With Bilthamber snow foam & various hog hair brushes for vents, around windows, badges & wheels. Rinsed.

-3 bucket wash (wheels, wash & rinse) G3 bodywork Prep Shampoo to remove previous waxes - Chemical guys wheel soap for alloys. Dooka washpad & Dooka Wheel mitt. Rinsed.

- Iron X applied to the whole vehicle (excluding wheels). Rinsed

- Auto Finesse ObliTARate Applied to lower half of vehicle, door shuts & wheels (Not many tar spots as its very well kept + i hate them lol). Rinsed.

- Farecla G3 clay mitt, Autoglym Rapid Detailer & G3 Bodywork Prep Shampoo as lubrication - Rinsed 

- Vehicle Re-Foamed & Re-washed. Rinsed.

- Force air dried & Auto finesse Aqua Deluxe Drying towel to catch excess water. 

- Autoglym High Definiton Cleanser Applied with yellow foam applicator to remove waxes still bonded & Buffed off.

- GtechniQ Panel Wipe to remove oils etc.

- Car Pro Eraser to further remove any oils and leave a smooth finish ready for Sealant.

-  2 coats of Autoperfekt High Gloss Sealant Applied with DA Polisher on 6" black finishing pad on speed setting 2. Left for 1-2 minutes and buffed off working Panel by panel. Left 1 hour between coats. (including door shuts etc) 

- Soft99 Fusso Applied using Auto Perfection Handi Puk on Black pad (Including door shuts etc)

- Second coat of fusso applied 24 hours apart.

- Wheels Sealed with 2 coats of Fusso & topped with Sonax Brilliant Shine Quick Sealant.

- Exhausts polished with Britemax Metal Twins & protected with FK1000p High temp Paste Wax.

- All glass & Lights Sealed with Angel Wax H2GO

- Wheel arches dressed and sealed with Carpro Pearl 

- Tyres & all trim dressed and protected with trim X 

 

Fusso has left a fantastic finish coupled together with the new hybrid gloss sealant from Autoperfekt (Brand new company).

 

The sealant goes on extremely thin and buffs off with ease leaving a crisp looking finish. Certainly will be purchasing a bigger bottle & after speaking to 

the chap that owns the firm, its a very good winter product.

 

I think thats everything. Around 12-13 hours in total with curing times, having to rewash today due to dust & Beer breaks ;)

      Thanks Karl, I did think it odd that I couldn't find it by name but it was late.   what sort of dilution do you use?  I assume you find it better than a normal car shampoo, what is it you like about

    Wow - now that's how to detail Karl - quite a shift on the vRS there!  :rock:

     

    The car is looking amazing - and your detailing routine is superb.  :sun:

     

    Looks like you are installed in the new detailing den as well - perfect time for winter!

    Should be a good space to work in even when the weather isnt playing ball  :thumbup:

     

    ...now can you squeeze an .:R36 in there?  :giggle:  :happy:  ;)

    I still have the Autoperfekt Nano and Gloss Sealant from WaxPack to try.

    I see Andy at CYR has just started offering Autoperfekt samples too  :thumbup:

    Just give me a shout as an when and I'll be round.

    You'll be shocked when you come to use them. I certainly was! Love trying new products, especially when they have a good outcome!

    Ah, that I didn't know! Due a big haul shortly so might have to buy a few samples! Cheers for that!

    I've actually only spoke to Shaun for the last few weeks after chatting to him on a Facebook forum. So all the crap that's gone off in the past, I haven't been a part of.

    Also to add, I've only been on this forum for the last 4/5 months so again.. haven't been a part of it. But thanks for putting my thread down. Appreciate it.

    I believe their only on Facebook at the moment. The page is only supporting so many likes so far. Although as Ste mentioned, Andy at CYR is stocking a few bits from them as samples.

    I got my sample from the last Waxpack. https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=399657083563633 < that's the FB link to the page. Got quite a range by the looks of it.

    When I find out more info etc I'll add it to this thread. Alot of people on the detailing pages are saying they're going to be quite big as the products their supplying are top draw!

    Great work and write up Karl , I wish I had a garage again ! ( stop my cats wallking all over it ) 6 hours on mine the other day , wheels off etc , new pads give so much brake dust
