Karl's vRS Winter Detail....

Featured Replies

I've been having a look round on the net at b&q and other places for them but not sure if they'll fit right etc.

I was hoping to get some to bolt to the walls. Still a bit of thinking to yet as to what I do.

With me moving out with the missus shortly I'm not gonna go all out so with what you have, if they're cheap enough could be the perfect option!

  • I like this, I like this a lot.   Quality work on a great car!    RE Chemical Guys, if you go on their website and order by sunday you get 15% off with the code SEPTEMBER   www.chemicalguysuk.co

  • Thanks Karl, I did think it odd that I couldn't find it by name but it was late.   what sort of dilution do you use?  I assume you find it better than a normal car shampoo, what is it you like about

Gotcha - I already have a couple of portable options for detailing - which might be of use to you short term?

Once you move you can make plans dependent on how that goes I guess.

As I say - pop in sometime and see what I have....

That could come in handy actually.. the lighting isn't bad but could be alot better!

I'll pop over sometime next week when your around :)

I've told the missus she can have what ever house she wants. Pink with yellow spots as long as I get a decent sized garage. Priorities and all that lol!

Oh you have been spending a bit of money Karl! Nice one!

I thought you had given up on Definitive Wax option and were sticking with Auto Perfection?

Although - cant blame you with the DW Cora option for winter - great product, easy on and off - smells great and good durability.

Do I also see the Definitive Concours drying towel in that picture?

Enjoy. I got some of the early batch for review and really rate the DW Concours towel - very very soft and washes well.

In fact - I had one of the freebie's left over - which I sent onto Shaun to give it a try out! It's good to share the Definitive love...

Be sure and give us a write-up; as I think I'm the only Definitive user on the group - so may look a bit biased! :giggle:  ;)

Erm, yeah just a bit!

That was the plan as I highly rate AP and both his waxes but having saying that I have wanted to try Definitive for a while based on reviews and photos.

You do spot the towels! I only went on the site to purchase them based on your reveiw and the wax just jumped in the basket (as they do)....  :D  :D

Hopefully i'll find the time to use it this week as the car is only sealed at the moment. Review and write up to follow!  :sun:  :sun:

hahahaha.... it just jumped in the basket!  I'll need to try that one on SWMBO next time and see what she says! :peek:  :x

I don't think you will be disappointed; but I would value your opinion on the items purchased - so be sure and share a review....

I'm trying to get info to see if Definitive have a Billet release planned for Xmas.... to add to the other two;

but it might be time for the BMD billet as we discussed yesterday on the BMD thread.

It's worth a try ;)

Yeah thats no problem at all! Quite liking reviewing new products, especially waxes.

I'll probably look into another pot for christmas. Unsure on what like but sure ill decide pretty quickly lol.

That billet looks absolutely stunning.. I can see DW wanting to go one better though.. will be hard to beat!

I for one certainly like your reviews and the fact you like to try some new and varied products Karl.

On the Definitive front.... I would imagine that Show Edition will be a difficult one to turn-down as your next purchase... :giggle:   ;)

You about tonight or not for that beer?

The car was looking good Karl - but I'm sure it will look better with your next detail planned!

Cheers mate. I will admit after this mornings drive it's looking a little shabby. Done a few miles this week.

Have the afternoon free from half 1 ish so give the car a wash on the drive, pull it in the garage & shut the door. Be in my own little world lol.

Planning on using CORA this aft & the QED - purity mix. Also test out the pads on the Handi Puk too!

Interested on your thoughts about CORA. Is one that i have been thinking of buying.

Got no experience of Definitive Wax but as Ste has such a collection i trust his judgement. Pretty sure he rates this wax too?

He certainly does Ben. I'll be reviewing it this afternoon. It's my first definitive purchase.

I tried the shampoo a while back and was very impressed how suddsy it was and how slick it glided across the paint. Cleans very well also. I had that as a sample from Ste.

Heard alot of good things about CORA so looking forward to giving it ago later on today! :)
