Many new names here now

Im back on the octy wagon again

Just bought a 'taxi drivers only' special 1u2 2007 octavia

only used as private hire for 1 year so only 115k 1.9 tdi pd100

New rack, tyres, discs/pads allround, service, full tank of derv, timing belt done.

Knocking DMF so i paid £400 for the car as the rest was spot on and zero rust

Aquired LUK solid conversion 1000 miles old from a crashed octy with same engine £50, ill run it a few weeks then swap it out when i have 4-5 hours, cant be hooped right away.

Ill get to know all the new names as i go along

I know that i have posted in 3-4 other topics the photos of my modified console (in various stages) but i think it's proper to have them all in one topic plus informations for the step by step procedure. Maybe another member will read it and try to modify his or someone can find via Google Search the photos and have an inspiration. I have done an Upgrade in mine and in the future i will make another one modification so let's take everything from the beginning. Note: Some photos are from internet

I used a copy of this MSTD_EU_SK_P6230 MU0490 if anyone else needs, the site I think I had it from was mibsolution.one is currently down though. I was wary of the copy I had and passage of time, but it worked fine installed, I just have to clear the fault code ( have odbeleven but pro ran out and doesn't cover the adaption by looks of it) Excuse the state of my interior I don't use the car that much and could use a vaccuum.

Hello, I activated Smart Link on my swing 3 radio, at Skoda Octavia mk3 MY 2018, so I want to share with everyone how it can be done. DISCLAIMER: You do it at your rensponsability, is not easy to do, and you can mess things out, possible brick you device. Do it only if you have expereince in this kind of activity. Physical tools needed: Tool for removing radio 4 pieces, just google "VAG radio removal tool", cost about 1€. CH341A Mini Programmer, cost about 10€. PC/Laptop Philips screwdriver

Well strange predicament due to dads age and alzheimers diagnosis he shifted his car to me. Pretty damn nice car 1.8T DSG 2014 less than 20k, packed with as much as mine has and more besides like adaptive cruise, folding mirrors. Not sure I need 2 though longer term tho....useful for now though as my petrol vRS similar vintage really could do with a clutch <80k miles so I am grateful for it regardless ! Not exactly the slow option either, obviously not quite as good as a 2.0T but better eco
