Hi I am new to Briskoda, so please excuse me if I have posted this in the wrong section.

 

I have an Octavia 2007 2.0 diesel, and the battery seems to be on it's way out. I've had it 4 years and the car itself is now 8 years old. I've never changed the battery, so I guess it's time to change it.

 

Anyone know where I can get a reasonably cheap good battery within the Manchester area - or a decent website?

 

Looking into car batteries, it appears I need to get the correct Cold Crank Amps (CCA) and also decent Amp Hours.- is 680 CCA and 72 Ah ok? or do I need to look at higher values?

You need an 096 sized battery.

 

The Varta E44 (Bosch S5 in disguise) is as good as it gets for under £100.
