No bloody apology in the letter though. Arrogant sods!

Our lease company are going to be inundated with letters then - we run over 500 cars, mix of VW, SEAT, Skoda and Audi!

VAG group letter writer collapses

mens-writing-desk-amazing-design-on-home

Fella above has been given the task of creating new cheat software.

The weather forecast in our area was wrong yesterday, it ****ed it down and none was forecast... Do I now get onto them an demand a bl***y written apology as the forecast was misleading and spoilt my evening, and then maybe get onto my solicitor for compensation...

This whole thing is getting a bl***y joke now in my opinion... if you are not happy that they are doing there best to fix the issue.... SELL THE CAR and buy another make...END OF ISSUE!!

It is sad, but once and for all BYE BYE Briskoda... Now logging out..

Over tired?

It was not simply 'an issue'....it was a blatant lie to defraud the buying public and a deliberate cheat to sell cars over their competitors (in my opinion...)

I have never owned a diesel but my anxiety is that VAG might not be the only ones so which diesel product would you move to instead? Who knows what nonsense has gone on behind the scenes in Diesel engine land and what truths might surface in the coming weeks and months?

Allegedly speaking of course....and I really do hope it's not the case.

1. I was sold a car with green credentials - lies

2. I have a car doing 60mpg they want to tinker with.....if it dips to 50mpg im out of pocket

3. Due to VAG's cheating the value of the car must have dipped

4. They bombed our chip shop in WW2

5. Its only by the grace of God HMG havent increased my road tax 10 fold (that could change)

Cheaters never prosper

My dad bombed your chip shop! Sorry about that.

My previous car (Vauxhall Antara) had a fault regarding oil leaks and over-heating DPF which lead to cars catching fire. They lied about the true fault and raised a recall to remove the lower engine tray so the oil leaked on the floor, not fix the spontaneous combustion issue. Quite frankly having to have my software amended is a minor issue by comparison.

Yup, the MKI Renault Megane could spontainiously combust - we had three do so in 2000 and RUK replaced them and paid for the six cars damaged from the fires that resulted that were parked alongside. This was found to be a caused by a fuel line that had been misrouted during build, which spilt fuel onto a hot exhaust manifold. Thank Gawd they were not being driven unlike a number of others.... Oh and injuries did result from the issue the same vehicles had with airbags going off when driving or stationary! Faulty sensors were found to be the cause of that....

Was it the Antara diesel with the VM engine?

A bonfire would have been the best option!

It was the 2.2 cdti, 163bhp engine.

Cant QUITE work out what that engine is, its NOT the Insignia 2.2 engine it seems, VM supply GM/jeep and GM/Chevrolet with diesels

a 2.2 turbodiesel project-managed by GM Powertrain in Turin, part-developed by AVL in Austria, and additionally engineered by GM in both the US and South Korea. With a choice of 163 or 184bhp, it is entirely unrelated to the diesels used in European-made Vauxhalls, unlike the gearbox now shared with the Vauxhall Insignia.

This is the letter I received from VAG Ireland.  At least there was an apology!
