  • This would be my question too. Is the spare not even an option now? That would be...odd on an off-roader.

  • Perhaps Skoda's 'simply clever' strap line is now redundant! Assuming it's too big to go in the under passenger seat drawer, they could at least have put them in a bag with Velcro on it so it stays p

  • If you have the spare wheel yes you are going to have lots of storage, If on the other hand you don't have the false floor your stuffed lol. I Tow a heavy ish caravan so if they make the New yeti lig

I must have hit the jackpot when I bought my nearly new Yeti in August. As well as a very tasteful shopping bag (black with Heritage Automotive in white and grey) I was given a white cardboard box in which was a litre of oil, a litre of VAG screen wash, a metal Skoda key ring with dummy pound coin for those supermarket trollies, a chamois pad, a scrapper/squeegee and a 12V to USB adaptor. It also came with free textile mats. Tick VG Heritage Skoda, Yeovil.

I would have complained about the white cardboard box, How cheap is that  :D

Looking on the bright side for those 'sans oil' - at least you haven't got it cluttering up the boot....!      :bandit:

Bah, been told by the lease company I can't add the spare wheel option now (from their dealer) but they can fit it at the dealership for £239.  :dull:  The bonus being that I would get to keep it at the end of the lease, yay!   Thing is my car isn't being built until November, why would it be a problem?

Sounds like it is your lease company being awkward, not Skoda.

Well technically it seems to be the dealer the lease company use in this case, the other middle-man! The girl from the lease company said she'd ask them a couple of days ago and this was her reply this morning:

"Andrew from Skoda has now confirmed that he cannot amend the order, but he can add spare wheel as a dealer fitted option instead if you wanted him to.

The cost of this is more though at £239.00 including Vat this is because to do this means they have to pay for wheel, brace, jack etc.

If this is something you wanted to go with then let me know and we will then invoice you this amount. If you did proceed with this the spare wheel would be ‘yours’ so can be kept by you at the end of the lease."

I've replied asking if the build has started yet since I was told it was early November and asked why couldn't I change a minor trim option but no reply yet...

If you did go with this option, make sure you also get the compressor and 'gloop' (which should be included) as the lease company may charge you for them if they're missing.....
