205/60/15 Tyre Choices

Featured Replies

Sorry for another tyre question, but I have never been able to get a definitive answer from loads of pages I have read on here.

I am looking at options for a full set of tyres in the above size (205/60/15) for a 2008 Octavia.

Looking at various threads and various on-line reviews these two seem to the prime candidates for the size I need:

  • Dunlop Sport Bluresponse
  • Continental PremiumContact 5

What would choose?

Dunlop Sport Bluresponse.

Fitted them on the front of my last Yeti and the ride was transfomed from the oe conti contact 2's

Cheapest seemed to be Blackcircles who I can also recommend.

That was my initial thought... And would make sense as the spare wheel is a nearly new bluresponse. But the Conti 5 seems to be getting rave reviews in the press.

Have a read of fulda, they are a really quiet tyre. I always have them and really good.

Cheers themond. Car is booked for new boots tomorrow at my local DM Keith, as they were willing to price match all the local competitors.

Dunlop Sport BluResponse is what it will be shod with and I will review these after they are done.

/just hope I don't regret not getting a set of winters.

Should have said before I got some 4 wheels 5x100 with fulda comfort tyres on 205/60 15 , only been on 4 months and brought some new 17" wheels, then you could have brought winters for the other wheels

Just to close off this topic (for now)... I bought the Dunlop BluResponse and I am rather quite impressed.

The car feels a lot more 'together' and the vibrations and noise have vanished.

The rear tyre wear was very random, unfortunately I never got a picture.
