How to install a Pedal box to an Octavia 3

Featured Replies

A little video we've put together showing how to install a 3712 Pedal box to an Octavia 3 (amongst others)

I have one of these fitted to my VRS, and they make hell of a difference to how the pedal behaves.

May I ask how much the PB costs please? ( PM if you like )

Hi Andrew

The Video would have been useful when I tried to fit my PB, after having problem I had to take a road trip to see you. Yes it was fitted in a minute, so to make my trip worth while you also fitted a CRD+T. I AM VERY VERY PLEASED!!

I ordered a PB for my Monte this weekend, arrived today, looks a great deal easier to fit.

I've got one of these too, and makes the car so much more responsive and nicer to drive.

Been tempted, but insurance co (Churchill) didn't want to know. I just want to be rid of that 'lag' then sudden get up a go as the turbo kicks in. Been driving this for 7 months and still cannot get a smooth but quick take off. Smooth and slow no problem! One big reason I have always gone for manuals in the past but the wife's knee problem has meant an auto is now needed....Also worried about voiding the warranty.......

Hi

I HAVE informed my insurance company about my CRD+T, as it does increase performance. But as far as I am concerned, the PB does not increase performance any more than if you use a HEAVY right foot!!

Mind you I have found that with my vRS I do need to drive as if you have slippers on! but when you want to move - boy does it pick it's skirts up!

Just my opinion, I have been with my insurance company for 20 years, and for a number of years I had a highly modded Saxo.

Do you get driving mode selectors on the Octavia?...............My Golf has it & in eco, normal modes its so laggy.....ie press pedal & something might happen in a few seconds........eco was dire, normal was still bad.

However put into sport mode & pedal is like my old Fabia........ie it is connected & responsive........

Yep. Driving modes are present (if specced).

And there is a noticable difference between them.

I bought it at the same time I bought the tuning box, I got the £80 reduction for the box by using the BRI80 code, but I can't remember if any discount was applied to the pedal price.

It may seem expensive @£179, but it transforms how the car responds to throttle inputs, it drives like there's a well greased throttle cable acting direct on the throttle body, highly recommended.
