Very nice! Had some good reviews!

Very nice! Had some good reviews!

Yes...Signature as the entry level wax punches well above its weight; but Contact 121 was the one i was after!

Fraser who runs the new business start-up is already winning awards for his efforts.

They are based back home in Glasgow - so i am keen to try some products and support them with a review

After you all gave me some really helpful advice a coupe of times the other week I ordered some Auto Finesse Dressle for the black plastic trim on the Octy, and following your general advice, if not the actual product recommendations, I tagged some Citrus Power on to the order too.  Box was delivered yesterday and I've opened it this morning to find I have some freebies, an air freshener to hang in the car and a bottle of their Triple3 wax.  Very nice, thank you.

So whats the view on Triple3 and when do I use it?  It looks to be an all in one, light polish, glaze and deep shine wax, with a claimed 1+ month durability.  No my normal routine is to seal the paint with auto glym EGP sealant and over wax that with porbouys natty past wax, then top up each wash with autoglym aqua wax or Sonax BSD.  With my car being garaged this gives very durable protection, almost indefinite....although I try to get round to a full decon and reapplication yearly.  I have bought a DA polisher and have some porbouys SSR1 polish which I hope to try ...if i find the bloomin' time!   Would the triple3 add anything on this routine and if so where/when would be good to use it?  Thanks

A friend of mine uses AF Tripple & swears blind by it, to which I have seen great results from his vehicle, easy on/off product, You can use Tripple3 as a polish stage, which will actually do quite a few things to clean/protect & enhance, I would also use a wax or even a paste wax after, for that added shine/protection, Tripple is a perfect base for any wax coating.

I actually really like AF products, I guess you could kinda call me a fan boy  :giggle:  B)  to a certain degree.

Can be applied by hand or machine as per below from AF website

http://shop.autofinesse.co.uk/tripple-250ml

Auto Finesse Tripple is the perfect all-in-one cleaner and polish. Enriched with pure Brazilian Carnauba, its easy application will deep clean paintwork and add a protective layer of carnauba, making it the ultimate product for the speedy detailer.

Tripple removes stubborn oxidation and contamination using deep cleansing solvents, whilst gently refining paint’s surface to a high-gloss finish with fast-acting diminishing abrasives. It also leaves behind ultra-slick film formers to help obscure minor defects, whilst laying down T1 Grade Carnauba Wax to protect and lock in shine.

Auto Finesse Tripple all in one polish can be used on its own, or as the base for Tough Coat or any of our Carnauba waxes.

Application:

Hand Application –

We recommend using either a microfibre or dual foam applicator pad. Apply a small-coin sized drop of product to the applicator and work into the paint with light pressure, until the residue turns clear. You may use either circular, or linear hand motions. For best results, confine yourself to working a small area at a time (no larger than 18 by 18 square inch) and leave the product to haze for several minutes before buffing off the residue using a microfibre towel. For maximum polishing performance, use a microfibre applicator, or the white side of the dual foam applicator pad. For maximum gloss, or when working on very soft paint types, we recommend to use the black side of the Dual Foam applicator pad for ultimate finishing potential.

Dual Action Polisher –

For application by Dual Action (DA) polisher, we recommend using a light foam finishing or polishing pad. Apply 2-3 small-coin sized drops to the pad, and spread onto a small area of the paint (no larger than 18 by 18 square inch) using the lowest setting on the machine. Afterwards, work the product in using slow, overlapping passes, light pressure and a moderate speed setting (4000 OPMs) until you see the residue starting to turn clear. At this stage, back the speed down to its lowest, or second lowest setting and reduce pressure for one more pass. Leave the residue to haze for a few minutes and buff off using a microfibre towel. For maximum gloss and finishing potential, a foam finishing pad is ideal. For maximum polishing performance, or when working on harder paint types, we would recommend a slightly firmer foam polishing pad.

Rotary Polisher –

For application by Rotary Polisher, we recommend using a light foam finishing or polishing pad. Apply 2-3 small-coin sized drops to the pad and spread onto a small area of the paint (no larger than 18 by 18 square inch) using the lowest speed setting on the machine. Afterwards, increase the speed to a maximum of 1000RPM, working the product in using slow, overlapping passes. Once you see the residue starting to turn clear, back the speed down to its lowest setting for one more pass. Leave the residue to haze for a few minutes and buff off using a microfibre towel. For maximum gloss and finishing potential, a foam finishing pad is ideal. For maximum polishing performance, or when working on harder paint types, we recommend a slightly firmer foam polishing pad

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

1: Ensure surface is clean, dry and free from contaminates.
2: Using an applicator sponge apply sparingly to the surface using light pressure in back and forward motions, covering a panel at a time.
3: Once cured remove excess with a microfiber cloth.
4: If required top with a paste wax of your choice.

So it's a useful freebie to add to the arsenal then, great.  I hadn't realised it could be machine applied, would it be good for a DA Virgin to use did first try?  I'm guessing its polish will be very mild?

Am I right to assume it would be pointless to seal over, but paste wax would be OK?

Recieved an email from Ultimate finish... free 1L bottle of their snow foam with every order..

Thought it would be rude not to take them up on the offer so I ordered myself a new bucket and grit guard yesterday.. arrived today with the snow foam in it. :sun:

I just had a thought, if time were short (and it always is it seems). I guess the triple 3 could be very handy for me.  Instead of wash, de-iron, de-tar, clay, polish, ipA, seal, wax, so alot of steps in one go, I could wash, de-iron, de-tar, clay, triple 3 and finish safely knowing the paint has protection.  Then come a week or month later, wash, ipA, seal, wax.  If the gap is too long this risks picking up contamination, but if I've not driven far, and since the car is stored in a garage, I think I'd risk it.  This could be very helpful.

Seeing that the year is drawing to an end & a new year is fast approaching :) I thought to buy my last detailing product for the year 2016 & why not end with a lovely new wax (limited edition) from waxed junkies £20.00 + £4.00 p&p.

Also I needed a winter wax in my collection, 150ml I believe for £24.00 delivered  bargain, got everything I now need to start using my DA within the next 2 months, hopefully won't be too cold ;)

My DAS6-PRO has been a great machine, it's not going anywhere but fancied an upgrade.

After using Ste's Flex3401 a few times and been really impressed I decided to go for the cheaper option of the two but equally as good. Plus it's a match for my Vertool 12E mini DA for spot polishing.

Cheers buddy, next time I pop round I'll bring it with me for you to have a look at! It'll certainly be getting used on the Fabia replacement that's for sure!

Great buy Karl, I think you'll like it! I love mine. The only slap in the face difference when compared with the 3401 is the running noise, louder with the Vertool but nothing mega.

Including discount at CYC, it's almost half the price of the VRG.

An absolute bargain for sure
