BATTERY 063 /27

Featured Replies

looking for replacement battery for a skoda fabia  2010 1.2

Some sites list it as  027 and some  063, SUPPOSE I will have to double check with dealer

is the cca the important part.

on other sites the 027 is for 1.4 engines

Maybe just check and buy the Battery at a Local Motor Factors.

I see 063 as being the Battery.  (Check with the Supplier.)

but that is

40 Ah and 340 CCA (Cold Cranking.)      Maybe get a battery with a higher CCA for Winter Starting.

Check if a

075 is the correct size.

60 AH and 540 CCA

The Motor Factor will keep you right, and check the new battery is fully charged.

& if there was a problem and it does not fit or you have a Warranty, they are right there.

Probably can supply at the same price as online, might even put it in for you.

(i suggest you do not go to Halfords.)

Why not measure the one you've got, and buy one the same physical size? 063/027/075 are codes referring to sets of physical dimensions

Online places tend to list dimensions as well as all the other specs. The 47Ah/450CCA Exide 063 that Alexandru linked to on your other thread should be more than adequate if the dimensions will fit.

It should be more than suitable,

but maybe for the Scottish Borders and longer colder winters and if the car is a keeper, just get the one with a higher Ah / CCA, the price difference is so small.

I wouldn't bother with the 063, both the 027 and 075 will fit the fabia, with the 027 being the more powerful option.

I can recommend tayna batteries if you're not desperate. I got a varta battery for our focus that was considerably less than I'd have paid at halfords even if I'd have used my trade card.

called Tanya order 063 guy said that should more suffice, said could have 075 but that probably be overkill.

dealer said it was a 61ah with cold crank 330, but Tanya barreries and they said there 61ah the 075 had cc of over 600, maybe delears have there own size of battery to charge silly prices

Did the guy ask anything other than what car it was?

What difference was there in price to just buy the overkill that is less likely to let you down and possibly has the 4 year warranty rather than jusr 3 years?

I got it wrong.

Last minute change of plan , dads just told me he rang them back earlier today and changed it to the 075 model, its more same size as curent battery is a 61ah or something very similar to dealer spec but loads more cca, dealer battery only had CCA of 350. Hope it doesn't blow car up,lol

both the batteries had 4 year warranty, extra £6 I think, they have it as a 063 fitment for a fabia, guy thought strange wanting a 61ah as its only a 1.2 but fits more with spec of stealer battery, so its a 075, now got.

dealer price £123 and a 2Yr warranty wow.

Never a bad thing, fitting a higher capacity battery.......means it's not working as hard to crank your engine, therefor should last longer.

I had a 'Varta silver' with a five year warranty that was about 150A higher CCA and about 10Ah more than the Ford battery it replaced, which failed after 5 years.

It was £42 delivered, I think.
