'Eibach's Blue Light Suspension Kit'. Skoda Emergency Service Vehicles.

Featured Replies

You know it also says "Ground clearance will be improved" so unless you want to raise your car I'd say don't bother. But if you do, I'm afraid I don't know anything about this kit and I can be of no help, sorry.

Interesting thread.

Was chatting to an ambulance RRV driver who had the Octavia who complimented it's handling at speed with the extra weight added on also. I was also interested to find that ambulance services are now opting for the 2 litre SE model with the 148bhp engine over the vRS.

Hi,

I have just come across this thread so forgive me for the time delay but

I am just a little curious as to why you want to upgrade the suspension if not an emergency vehicle??

is it a 2wd or 4wd model?

Because better handling or comfort or load carrying ability without the car bottoming out...

Most cars ex factory have suspension which is conpromised in some way to best suit "everyone". But often people would prefer a bit more "sporty handling" or whatever.

Also, over time suspension wears out, and upgraded parts can be better than the original spec stuff.

Well I have yet to try it out personally but I know it will cost you a grand and take 5.5 hours to fit and it can be ordered straight from your local Skoda dealer. I have the part number (2wd or 4wd??) if you would like it mate?

Im not, mostly as im currently an Insh!tnia driver, but other might be interested.

Just stick the part numbers for each in here, or start a thread in the pinned section of general car chat for handy part numbers.

Apologies for bringing up 3yr old topic but im more than interested in this matter. @Boots101 Could you kindly provide the info you’re having?

Case is im in search for aftermarket suspension but i do not want any lowering. Lifting would be the better since winters here in the arctic circle are something else and more ground clearance is very welcome.

@Joones16 you may be waiting..

a quick look and Boots posted his 2 replies in this thread, and hasnt been on since!

There is a Eibach sale being advertised.

In the Yeti Section or Yeti Project section you will see threads on lifting a Yeti a bit and without spending a fortune.

Applies as much to an Octavia or anything else.

I already have the blue light springs in the car , i need to replace the front shocks and was wondering if  there a different spec i need as of the higher clearance of the springs . Was thinking some billstein b6's might go well. I asked skoda uk and they were kinda useless, they just said my vehicle has the rough road package, when i asked if that ment i need to buy different parts they were very vague. Is the blue light or rough road suspension the same as the scout ?

@OrenJFWas that Skoda UK,s Customer Services Contractors you asked or was the enquiry put to anyone technical?

Is it not Eibach or one of their Approved Dealers that you should be asking?

Dealing with this lot is not going to get you far about anything technical with a Skoda.
