im looking for help please! 

 

2005 mk2 skoda throwing up a range of electrical problems it started with the alarm randomly going off and now its  worked its way into the dash bringing on abs lights etc. 

 

i bought a 2nd and control module which when i plugged in and all the problems disappeared or so i thought... upon looking boot wouldnt open and back two doors would not lock. other than that it worked fine! 

 

question is:

 

• can i get the module programmed?? 
• does anyone think i have any other problems or places i can look?

If you have the old unit you can plug it in then copy and reuse that coding providing the modules are the same.

look for rear doors via LIN databus or a similar setting, either that or it is coded for a 3 door

 

What part number was your old Convenience Module - I have a spare in the garage from a 55 plate L&K Octavia Estate if you want it, probably a closer match coding wise. You can have it for the postage costs, they are only worth about a fiver anyway. Part number on mine is 1K0 959 433 AK, It is a 4 door MAX version.

If they are the same part number then just copy the coding from one to the other, you can just paste it in.

i have all the codes for doors and convience module copied except for the rear door. couldn´t seem to find a module for it? does it fall under the rear doors ?

this is pulled from unit today.. a trailer unit has creeped into the mix.. think its time to hand it over to professionals... hes a print off anyways incase anyones interested!?

What changes have you made to your CAN Gateway - it looks like you have selected trailer module and TPM in the installation list of the CAN Gateway?

 

I have a spare one of those as well from a 55 plate O2 L&K Estate

Just run in auto mode? Didnt select any different to before!? Bit too many peoblems for me to undertake so will be sending into local garage..! Will keep the parts in mind thanks!

Do you have a towbar or towing electrics fitted?

 

If not, go into the CAN gateway and Installation List and deselect the Trailer Module and the TPMS.

 

Then clear all of the error codes and re-scan.

The garage have narrowed the faults down to either cabling or faulty instrument module.. so trying to source clocks at the moment...
