I would reccomend a 2nd hand Skoda Superb 2.5 V6 Turbo diesel , its basically a long wheelbase VW passat so it will be a nice big car like what you are used to in the US.

On topic , Ive had 3 Skodas , but I fancy a New Beetle next , for a change...

Same feeling here - was brought on reports of high praise but its the first car Ive had thats broke down within one year of buying it from new and is looking to be the first and last Skoda Im afraid.

I bought my Fabia VRS about a year ago and love it.... one or 2 tweaks have been carried out but not because the standard car was poor..... just wanted to improve it even more

Anyway, both I and SWMBO liked it that much we have bought a second one and would be more than happy to buy another in the future, good car & good servicing from Barmoor Garage @ Ryton. I don't expect the cars to never have a single problem but I do expect the problems to be resolved quickley and efficiently and this they have on each and every occasion.

i would have another fabia vrs, although going by some of the photos i have seen for the new shape fabia, i will probably give it a miss, and go for an octy, or maybe an A4 audi avant or a vw passat.

Few minor problems in first year are a little off putting.

the reason I bought a VRS is because its a performance bargain, the new one has a lot to live up to, and looking at the pictures it looks like a roomster.....and thats bad!!
