If the car has to be modded to make it fun to drive then its a no-no. Has to fill all of the requirements "out of the box"

Nissan Micra

Skoda forum - Skoda Fabia vRS will come out tops me thinks!

If running costs was not an issue, I personally would consider a clio 182 or CTR although I must say that I very much enjoy my Fabia vRS

How about a Mazda 3 or whatever they are called now?

Sporty, reliable, look good, reliable.

Definately would'nt have a Fabia..

I reckon there's some real bargains to be had on a new Clio 182. A really nicely specced model like the Trophy could ba a real winner, and much more of a girlie car than the Fabia imho. (plus you get to drive it at weekends!)

The Fabia is also a wise buy, but girlie it ain't. Maybe a girlie yellow one? :P:rofl:

Can a used Honda S2000 be had for

Must be fun to drive

Must look "nice" (read girlie and sporty)

Must have Air Con

Must have decent NCAP rating and a collection of airbags etc

Howabout a Smart Roadster?

And if you didn't think it was girlie enough' date=' you could add some pink viper stripes to it:

oh just had a thought.... Ford Ka... i know a lot of people with Ka and iv driven a few.... great engines  bags of fun.

StreetKa might be what ur after for Swmbo though... girlie:thumbup:

Citroen c2 1.6 vtr

very girly :)

Polo Gti - or I can sell you a lovely Skoda Felicia Fun- its Fun, its sporty, it's a head turner, very reliable... did I mention its fun? Oh- and you can save 9k!

For "out the box" fun, I'd go for the Nippy Polo GTI - If size isn't an issue then try the Lupo GTI - those little buggers fly!

Don't know about NCAP and airbags but the Ford Streetka will be fun, girly and in your budget. I think Ford are doing a few promotions on them at the mo'.

Yeah those Lupo gti are insane!

Yeah those Lupo gti are insane!

expecially when a 1.8T has been squeezed in... iv seen it done!

Hahahahaha- thats nuts!

Citroen c2 1.6 vtr

very girly :)

The vtr has the stupid flappy gearbox, might not be SWIMBO's cup of tea, but its not alot more for the vts, manual and a fair bit quicker.

I dont think the Fabia vRS is a girly looking car at all, more of a male sleeper.

you could always look at a new MG ZR 105+ :p (but they do look damn sexy) - nearly brought one myself untill i saw the light and got a furby :)

What about a 2nd hand Audi TT? Propper girls car but i guess its a hairdressers car too. Or a newish MR2. Now thats ba sexy car.

Well I've had the 182 and the vRS, and its no competition - for driving fun and all round ability out of the box, the 182 is clearly much, much better.

I'm not saying the vRS is a bad car, far from it, but theres no way you can say its the most fun you can have for £12k.

I got mine for £10k with 5k miles on the clock. Excellent performance, great engine note, unbelievable handling.

The Fiesta ST is ok I guess, but I cant see it being as much fun as the Clio when it lacks 30 bhp AND heavier. The Clio can also get more than 40 MPG on a run too, believe it or not.

I'd vote for that, or the MX5.

I'd save a bit more and go for the Honda 2000 as well. I take it insurance isn't an issue.

MX-5? Isn't that a hairdresser's car ;) How about a used Beetle? Nice and girly complete with it's flower holder, decent spec and you have a range of engines to choose from if you want performance (1.8T) or economy (PD diesels) :D

Or how about a wild card Teg-Type R? 12k should buy you the racing edition from Litchfield ;)

Chris

Clio Trophy :D

2nd hand Elise :D

Smart Roadster

New Octy RS, seen them for 11.5k :)

The Cooper S is the way to go if you want have your cake and eat it. Bags of fun and minimal depreciation. Mate bought a Cooper for
