Code 2 rear fog lights on fl Superb estate

Featured Replies

I have been reading about coding options and saw that on the Octavia III both rear LED fog lights can be activated. Doe anyone know whether this can be done on a Superb with a VCP lead?

On a FL Superb 2?

Yes, it can with VCP, but not with VCDS. There are a few of us with VCP, whereabouts are you?

Do you know the coding bytes and bits or do you know of a site that I have missed where they describe it?

It isn't coding - you have to read a portion of the memory and change it, VCP has a function for doing it

didnt know this!

Would this be the same on the Yeti then... which also has 2 fog lights but only 1 works?

I think it depends on spec level for the yeti. If there is already a bulb and wiring in place then it almost certainly can be activated.

Which Yeti? Mk1, FL or Mk2?

Well our 2015 Yeti FL seems to have 2 actual bulbs, but only one fog actually works.

Pretty odd really i thought lol

Ah okay. Cheers!

Ours has a bulb, but not sure about wiring haha.

Its the basic S 2015 FL 1.2 TSI.

Sorry for taking over this thread abit OP.. :D

Yes, VCP can enable the second fog on a FL Yeti.

Top man.

If it was do'able on VCDS id do it now.. but that VCP seems like maybe abit too much hassle :D

Thanks though. Very good to know :)

Its alright mate, not to worry. If it has anything else done and is plugged in ill get em to do it, but otherwise its not a big deal.

Cheers for the info though. :)

Several people have tried, but no-one has managed to do it.

Spec level doesn't matter.

I know of one that has been done.

All the wiring diagrams I seen for the yeti agree with you, there should only be a single rear fog connected. Always on pin B50 of the BCM if I remember correctly which is why footwell lighting retrofits can be an issue.

Yet a couple of folk claim to have done it on the yeti so at least some MY or spec must have the second fog wired up. I believe that if the bulb and wiring is there then it is possible to activate both rear fogs with VCP/odis-e.

I've only seen one, and it was pretty much the same setup as a FL O2 with the BCM and Byte 18 and both rear fogs wired up. VCP enabled the second rear fog.
