Non acid alloy wheel cleaner

I have used just 2 cleaners in the last 18 months of ownership, and to this day the wheels still look like new.

Wonder Wheels and

Autoglym Wheel cleaner , you can get them both at Halfords.

You need to clean the wheels at least fortnightly or the brake dust starts to get stuck big time, then you will need loads of elbow grease to get the bits off.

Wonder Wheels, i second that. Do your self a favour and buy a wheel brush from Homebase, they can be found in the motoring section (red handle, black loop brush). The bristles are just soft enough not to damage the wheel finish and you can reach the back of the wheel rim/brake calipers.

Have fun 8)

Wonder Wheels is excellent, but stick to the instructions about how long to leave it on, and then rinse it off with lots of water.

Haven't tried Autoglym Wheel Cleaner yet, but I have a lot of time for their products so will now track that one down.

Ive also used Turtle wax extreme wheel cleaner for quick brush ups.

This is also very good when used in association with a jet wash

I literallly rinse wheels , spray on , leave for required time and jet wash off

For a quick fix its superb, if you havent got the time to detail the wheels

I use Wonder wheels too , if my wheels get really bad , but normally i just try to wash them as often as possible so they never need a specialist wheel cleaner! I did use wonder wheels regularly on my 91 Galant Glsi , as this came with horrible alloys like the Golf Mk 2 BBS wheels loads of spokes in a diamond pattern...a nightmare to clean!

I personaly avoid using the stuff just clean them frequently, however when I have used it I have diluted it right down with water to get a much weaker solution. I seem to remember I bought some VAG stuff from the Skoda dealer that was safe to use - think it was quantum. I clean mine as per the manual applying a solid wax not polish, I use autoglm extra gloss protection.
