Hi all,

I'm off to look at an estate tomorrow and to be honest I'm not a huge fan of the big chrome grill. Was toying with black as an option but don't want to look like a chav. Maybe black surround with the l&k grill which has a bit of chrome in to make it look a bit more oem.

Have many any here done anything to their grills? Any pictures?

I've fitted a black grill and surround and am very happy with it. I'll try to get a picture for you tomorrow.

I've added the grill cover for winter which changes its looks a bit

Other than that check out the threads on here about project superbs - someone completely blacked out their superb estate and it looked sublime.

I'll see if I can find the link for you.....good photos on it.

Cheers Dave. All black look is a bit too extreme for me but looks great. I like those wheels on the White one though. That's got me thinking!

Yes, I like them too (if you are talking about my car?) They came on the car (19" Summer) and are a Japanese figment.

Need a refurb now as Ive hit a curb or two....

The trim on the doors and around the windows is still there i'm afraid. It's too much of a mission to get rid of the chrome, not sure if it's even possible? 

 

Because the car is white, the chrome doesn't stand out so much. 

No chrome on my 'S' model, looks great. I remember having an E39 with 'Shadow Line' option, i.e no chrome. It seems to change over the years to whether cars are desired with or without chrome. I prefer without.
