Best of luck!

Every time a maxidot retrofit has been brought up, I've not seen it completed.

I think a few members got a group buy on some maxidot clusters from CZ around 8 years ago, but in the end Skoda UK had to be involved, as the clusters were originally destined for a scrap bin at the factory, and somehow found their way onto the open market.

This could be one of those clusters.

The only one I know worked properly was WJA96's

As said, definitely not a straight swap but can be done around 90% complete I'm sure. From what I've read a lot is easy enough to code but problems with the fuel gauge seemed to crop up again.

You need the CANBus module from the donor car and there is a cable that plugs into the TMC module of the MFD1 that is required for some reason for it all to work properly. If you don't have the exact same model CANBus module as from the donor car then something won't work properly - fuel gauge, speedo, odometer, warning lights have all come up in the various threads from time to time.

It's definitely not just a cluster swap.

Also, have you got an Asz or blt engine? There are different part numbers for both maxidot and regular clusters for the different engines.

I know that guy was trying to sell that cluster for the last few years. I'm pretty sure when I enquired about it it was the part number for a blt engine.

Nice buy,well done!!! :D

Won't work so your best selling it to me for £50. :)

It will be a bit of a detective exercise but you just need to find a car that has a matching cluster part number and then buy the matching CANBus module. It will almost certainly work 90% without the CANBus module but you won't get all the extra functionality without it.

It can be done. It even works with the Kenwood CANBus interface so if you have replace the MFD1 with a Kenwood DNX head unit you still get the direction information in the Maxidot cluster.

You have many 'helpful' friends, we've seen their handiwork on here before. I'll eat my words if you can get it working properly, but I seriously doubt it.

looked in to it and they are for vehicle with engine code blt so won't work properly on my vehicle hence I cancelled sale received refund and they are back up for sale seller said they have never been coded to any vehicle so if someone with a blt engine code wants a go they are on ebay

He has been trying to sell them since 2012.

You should be able to get an asz set of clocks from Skodatielle if you want to get it done.

FYI these are the part numbers for a vRS Maxidot panel.

Think he'll take a cheeky offer of £150 then? :D

Well just like to say the blt maxidot cluster works fine in a ASZ :)

Got it working fine with the immo disabled. Still need to find a way of getting the skc out the dash without removing the chip.

So someone's bought and using it?

Yeah I bought it for £150 after it got relisted :)

So it was you that beat me to the cheeky offer of £150!

I guess it's better off in your hands, I would still be struggling to get it working I assume!

Keep us updated please, I'm after one for my BLT still so would like to see if it works! :)

Haha it works fine. Just need to get the immo sorted and clock the mileage so it matches the original.

So you have it all working as it should?

Anything els to tweek?

Displays radio channels, fuel correctly etc etc...

Do you have the satnav also for the head up directions?
