Very Satisfied Customer.........not!

Featured Replies

my furbie went back into ***** garage where i bought it from on tuesday i got a lovely clean fabia silverline from the garage as courtesy car.

But when i collected my car wednesday morning i enquired as to what work had be performed, they had (supposedly) replaced the tappets to stop the knocking noise on the engine, (this has half worked :( the noise is still there however a bit quieter) and both front wheel bearings due to a lovely squealing noise. (not at all caused by thrashing it round wales! :D ) but when i collected my car from the compound i found the passenger door unlocked and window open it was raining all night and the interior was covered in mist and slightly damp. Also there is oily hand prints over the front of the car and bumper, and best of all the zip ties on the front wheel trims had not been removed i thought to replace wheel bearings you had to remove the wheels?

the response from the garage was "oh sorry"!

so is this how VAG group encourage their garages to support their customers? i think not, so now it is official I HATE ***** GARAGES!!!!!!!!!

any one have any ideas about what i can do apart from sending a stinking letter to Skoda UK and hoping these barstewards lose their franchise.

Lady loki what would the position of skoda uk be in this matter?

On a more positive note i am getting my octy on the 18th i just cant wait.

i went up to pay the deposit yesterday got a cup of coffee another test drive amd really felt as if the garage wanted my custom and were willing to work for it so a big  to Bickerton garages Sheffield :D

Thanks

Oh poor you.... give me the details of your car, I will open and close a stinking case here that WILL be seen by their area Ops Manager. He's the one who'll take them to task on this.

As they are franchised businesses, I am not allowed to ring them up and do my nut at them, as much as I'd love to at times- but we can at least log this and ask them to do 'something' to compensate you. They can only say no... in which case ring me, go mental down the phone, I will log it all and apologise profusely, and then *I* will do something for you. RING IN, PLEASE. Who was it anyway???

Fabia,

You should be fine with Bickertons. My original impressions weren't that good but I've dealt with them since and they seem to be good people.Plus they've been selling Skodas for donkeys years.

I'm sure the majority of Skoda owners haven't. I certainly haven't. Should I have?

Although my car was off the road for about 3 weeks in the first 4 months I had it, I felt I was reasonably dealt with by my dealer, was never without transport, and didn't really have much to complain about. I guess that isn't everybody's experience ....

You'll regret that Alex... happy to help. Those facksocks needed putting in their place a bit!

Confirmed all the details with Geoff at Bickerton this morning, he is happy to order up what you desire, and said v nice things about you too.

Worrying to hear that your baby son's got more savvy than C*** garage though isn't it?!?

My dealers are the best...Forward Motors in Luton. Nothing is ever too much trouble, they are courteous and get your car sorted with no fuss.

Isn't that how it's supposed to be??

Good news of course for those of you who live in Luton and surrounds...

Me, I live in Coventry!!! ........but work in North London.

Also big up to Lady Loki's crew as they were marvelous when I had all my coil pack failures.

Yep, the long-suffering John at Forward always looked after me and my cars. And always stayed calm and cuurteous when my Vrs was falling to bits.

Phil

Graham at Forward is my favourite service person in the whole network- nothing is beyond him, and he's a sweetheart too.

LadyLoki, thank you for your help this afternoon. Tabs xxxxxxxxxxxx!

Tabs, I am just so sorry I wasn't of more help- and I can't get things moving faster for you.

I'm also prevented from saying what I want to on the phone sometimes- so here goes- that retailer are the subject of rumours of termination... due to their refusal to expand their workshop. The problems you are having are well known and well documented. Another case will add to the pressure.

Sorry to be of little use... maybe next time I can get a better result for you?
