Tyre pressure check system!

Featured Replies

... Whilst it is the driver's responsibility to make sure the car is properly maintained, I would expect a tyre fitter to get the pressure right for a new tyre. The correct pressure is displayed on the car and it only takes a moment to discover what it should be. I think Jamesco makes a really good point.

To really know,

Jamsco (post #19) would have to say what 'the well below pressure'  the 2 tyres were.

Were they well below the recommended pressure, or the pressure he usually has them at and the TPMS was set for.

*If they were under inflated & too low and at a pressure unsafe for the car, i would be back in to see the Depot Manager,

or ask to talk to a Area Manager about Fitters putting out vehicles with pressures too low.

Just for the safety of others.*

PS

When you change the Tyres for a different size which new over old might be, or winter tyres,

or change the pressures, the Skoda TPMS will not usually warn as you 'start the car'.

You have to drive and the ABS / ESP System picks up on the Difference in size from when the TPMS was previously set.
