Where abouts was your guide posted?  In the MK1 bit or the guide and how to bit?

Good evening chaps, sorry to re start a relatively old post.    Those who have fit aftermarket HID kits, what’s your experience been with regards to MOTs?   I’m keen on fitting Projectors this to my VRS, but have just read legislation mentioning no HID kits are E marked, and stuff about needing to fit headlight washers as well.

At present....

 

Mainland UK MOT you are fine. If you're in Northern Ireland, they fail it.

I just whipped out my hid bulbs and stuck in some halogens for the MOT just to be sure, sometimes they advise them but shouldnt fail

What ballasts do you use?? There seems to be thousands far and between on eBay, or do you buy them combined as a kit with the projectors? ....or is that a trade secret?

No secret, I sell lights not bulbs :p

 

However I use 35w AC ballasts and 4500/6000k bulbs. Canbus is a bonus but not always needed.
