Gauges through MIB2 unit. Do you think this can be coded in?

Featured Replies

Hey all,

As per the topic title, take a look at this:

I wonder if this can be enabled some how, don't see why not but its just a matter of how! Gimmicky I know but cool :)

:D

Would love this on mine!

Interesting... I would like this on mine if it could be done

Some of the Superb3 guys are looking in to this at the moment

I really hope they get it working, would be a great little addition to the display. VRS mode on Sport and that on the display haha :)

That looks cool would like that on my vRS hope they figure it out

Have a feeling it might be a software thing and specific to NA build GTI's.

I think any car with MIB2 hardware would be capable of supporting this as all its doing is displaying data fed back from sensors that will exist in the car to the display but its probably (unfortunately for us) more than just coding.

Id rather have this than the fairly pointless ThinkBlue trainer on my GTD :-)

This is also standard on the Seat Leon Cupra in the UK for MY16 builds with the MIB2.

looking at various stuff re this on the MK7 forums & the consensus is it's MIB2 only. So have it factory coded some have not, but can be coded..........

Still early days on hacking the units MIB gen1 & gen2

^^^^ as above, from the bits I've read it also depends on what software version you have on the MIB2.

Update for anyone interested.

I've been following  few threads of forums else where and the bottom line is that, it's not possible to be coded via VCDS.

At the moment it's only some GTi's and R's and can only be activiated via a dealer.

Ahh ok, thanks for the update. Shame, I'm sure people will have the MIB2 units hacked soon! :)
