Braking problem

Featured Replies

Strange experience this morning, had to use the brakes suddenly, the ABS kicked in, lifted my foot a little, then the pedal went almost to the floor and no brakes, unless I pumped them, then after about 10 mins everything went back to normal...

As I pressed the pedal, the brakes started to work, then the pedal resistance went and then the brakes worked but not like they should..

It did this before and it was a wheel bearing pushing the pads apart.... doesnt feel like a bearing this time..

Any ideas?

Why lift your foot keep it planted and let the system work as it is designed to.

Sounds like you were trying cadence braking.

Get the system checked if in doubt.

as written in previous post.

if you lift your foot and apply break again with ABS intervention. your brakes don't work at all.

before you start your car. pump your brake. pedal must be firm and when you keep pressure at the bottom, pedal must stay in same position. otherwise air in brake fluid or leaks.

normal ABS braking is keep your pressure in pedal and let the electronic kick your foot back. or take out ABS fuse - ABS is for pussies :-P
