Morning all

 

I've this week confirmed an order for this Skoda Octavia vRS Estate 2.0 TDI

 

+ DSG box 
+ Race Blue metallic 
+ Black with grey stitching on seats 
+ Adaptive Cruise Control 
+ SmartLink 
+ Colour Maxi-Dot computer

 

Never had a Skoda before, currently in a Toyota Verso (mostly BMW and Audi prior), but very impressed with the test drive I had a couple of weeks ago.

10 weeks to wait apparently! I never was good with waiting... hopefully they'll speed it up a bit.

Very nice car, you won't be disappointed.

Does the vRS have a spare tyre or can of goo? I'd try getting a spare if it's the latter.

One thing you will notice as a big difference with Skoda when compared with BMW/Audi is the sticky out thing from the left of the steering column, they are indicators [emoji12]

Haha, you shouldn't be allowed to order the vRS in any colour other than Race Blue 

 

As for sharing this colour with other non-vRS models in the range, if Skoda UK are reading then all I have to say is... booooooooo!!

             I ordered on Wednesday the dealer said he's have me a build date in a week or so but Im heading out to Austria tomorrow so I will find out when I get back. Feel free to come back and share if you get yours I'll be very interested in finding out!

Its a good colour thats for sure, I liked loads of the colours to be honest but still went for white! My last three cars have also been white, they survive the carparks at work much better and dont show up the little marks. In an ideal world I'd have black butits one of the worst for showing up the scars :(

Ordered mine at end of November and was given about 13 weeks. Week 1 of Jan I tried to add a few options but was told changes were locked out the 4 weeks up to build time. Informed build could be week 3, chased dealer week 4 and they should know more next week ( week 5 ).

 

Mine is Race Blue as well, they did have one on forecourt in Meteor Grey but it didn't have options I wanted so decided to wait.

I placed an order for a Race Blue Manual vRS estate on Saturday - The dealer didn't have the latest information re: Apple CarPlay.

 

I can see that you ordered 'SmartLink' - Is that required for CarPlay? I can see that Apple's website now states that the MY16 Octavia is CarPlay ready.

 

I wonder if that means 'after buying an option'?

 

Any advice?

Smartlink must be specced for CarPlay and android auto.

But it can be enabled after getting the car by buying an activation code from your dealer.

Ordered my race blue combi elegance 7 of Nov with a few extras

Build week 4. This week. Pick mid Feb to end of Feb. Can't wait. Great colour for non vrs too

Just been told provisionally Build week 8, so 22nd feb.  Sooner than I thought!

I'm new to the site but just to let you know, I ordered my vrs combi in 2nd week Nov'15 & collected it last Thursday 28/1/16. Approx 11week turnaround. 1st skoda so didn't go mad with xtras. White, manual tdi, sunset glass, upgrade alloys, detachable towbar, mud flaps. Apple car/smartlink is standard in Ireland and is class I have to say. I can't put into words how impressed I am by this car so far!!!!

If you have the newer MIB2 infotainment, all the hardware and software capability is there...just needs activating at cost by a dealer

Do we have any info yet on dealers activating Smartlink?

How much do they charge? Bet its more than the £150 the factory charge.

Car built today. Ordered nov7. Told I be in it end of Feb all depends on shipping schedule. Won't keep my hopes up.
