Waiting for my octavia

Featured Replies

Placed an order for an Octavia style estate  2.0TDI  184bhp 4x4 DSG   on November 26th

It is currently in Bremerhaven waiting  to ship to Norway.

I'm told I should have it in a couple of weeks.

Really like this forum, learned a lot about my future car.

The dealer has been great, I owned  a 07 jeep commander, but got a poor trade in price, so sold it privately a couple of weeks ago.

They  let me have  a 2015 fabia free of charge while i wait for my car

Since i didnt have a trade in, I got the winter tires free of charge (£1600)

Skoda Norway also had an offer or £1600 off on the 4x4s,ending the day i ordered mine

I forgot to order the spare wheel..so guess i will have the air compressor and the "tire filler goo"

Guess i can't just have one fitted after i get the car since i have the canton speakers, and not the variable cargo floor?

Ordered mine on 27th November and build was penciled in for Week 3. Emailed dealer this week and they should know more next week.

It can't come soon enough, public transport in this country :envy: .

Remote controlled aux heater? I take it this isn't available in the UK?

No it's not an option in the UK.

Really high spec car, I've ordered a VRS 4x4 myself with a build week of 11, can't wait!

no just an option for really cold countries

That sucks, it's a nice feature. My brother's Range Rover has it and it's pretty good! Ah well, not really a necessity I suppose.

Necessity no. But it is amazing every time the temp goes below the freezing point. Push a button, and step into a warm and defrosted car 15 minutes later.

Pretty sure you can. I think the canton sub sits in the spare wheel itself

The sub doesnt affect the spare wheel. It sits in a cubby Hole in the left side of the boot.

In the UK you can order a spare wheel with the Canton. That system does not effect where the spare wheel goes (as states above).

You can also have a spare wheel in the UK without the variable floor.

Its the same in Norway. I dont have the variable floor, but I do have canton and a spare wheel.

Dealer called and said I should have car by the end of next week. Dad getting his car tomororw, ordered the same day with the same specs (corida red)

For around £500 they offered to put Diamondbrite on it, is it worth it?

I hate washing cars, and I don't see myself waxing it.

Money would be better spent sending to a detailer for a ceramic coating. Probably be cheaper too.

£500 thats a joke...

£200 tops. As said a pro detailer would do a better job.

Collected my Topaz Brown Octavia Scout at the weekend. Hadn't seen it in the metal when I ordered it, only pictures so it was a bit of gamble if the colour would be OK.

Love the colour. Really suits the car and had lots of positive comments about it. Cars great as well!

After 20 km i'm well pleased :)

If you look closely, you can see my dad's red octavia in the reflection of the doors
