Central locking weird behavior

Featured Replies

Hey folks,

Maybe someone had a similar situation,

Last week when the temp. dropped to -5, tried to open the driver door and didn't work at 1st, then it did, after that everytime I lock it with the key, when unlocked cannot open the door but if opened from the inside (via passanger's door) works, once opened it works if shut, until locked by key.

Now everytime I get to the car I hold long on the unlock so the window drops then I open it from the inside.

Before starting to lego dismount the door in search of wonders..

Any ideas? Anyone?

Thanks

Battery on its last legs?

1st thing I cheched, changed it, same. Tried the spare key, same..

It makes the click sound tho like normal, but seems to me that the mechanism doesn't bounce back like it used to, as it works after opened from inside :-S

Tne vehicle battery not the fob

Vehicle's battery is new, was changed in november

As per my thread, I'm having intermittent central locking problems currently.

Going in to the supplying dealer on Monday to have it checked out under warranty.

.

I've been told that it is possibly the ignition switch  unit that is causing the problem.

Known fault...apparently?
