Superb seats and mats advice sought

Featured Replies

Hi I have just changed my Skoda to a Superb Estate SE Greenline which I am very pleased with.

It has part leather and suede seats and I dodged the bullet at the dealer with expensive treatments. However, I still need to protect them with something - are there decent Skoda type covers that I can source?

Also, i would like to find the right type of floor mats, as the driver's footwell is an odd, square shape with the box protruding from under the driver seat and the long flat accelerator pedal.

Cheers Steve

You can get many treatments / covers for the seats. Genuine floor mats can be bought from Skoda Dealers or online.

Ive got genuine rubber mats in mine front & rears approx £40 from your local dealers & the fit perfect without any issues.

I would also go for the genuine floor mats, these have the 'Superb' logo on them and you know they'll fit perfectly. I have had them in my Superb FL from new and over two years later they show little if any signs of wear.

I agree, I had a set in my last Superb for three years and after 120k kms there was little or no signs of wear.  Same with current model, just over two years and still look like new when (when clean of course :) ).

Its actually a cheap investment to get some decent mats as they look good and will also help make it easier to sell on if the carpets are in good shape.  Some of the cheaper mats will end up wearing though the carpet and looking grubby.

Ordered some mats for the same car off superskoda, going to get the boot liner and the transmission tunnel ones too...

I got a set of the Skoda genuine carpet mats thrown in as part of the deal when I bought the car. Mine has the ivory interior but the salesman advised going for the black mats as after giving it a few days to adjust to the contrast with the rest of the floor the black mats would be far better wearing than the ivory mats.

I'm glad I took his advice now as they look fine and obviously don't show the dirt as much as ivory mats would. I've had a couple of other owners of ivory interior cars say they are going to do the same thing too.
