Auto wipers not working?

Featured Replies

When I first got the car, the wipers would come on at the slightest sniff of rain. This morning, though, despite modest drizzle, they didn't. I played around with the sensitivity slider and checked on the infotainment that auto wipe was enabled.

Any ideas what I might have missed?

I know this sounds really obvious but are you sure they were in the auto wipe position? One notch up from the bottom off position?

Make sure that the stalk is in the Auto position.

If you turn it all the way down, the spring-loaded position is to swipe the screen once. If you release the stalk after this swipe then it will be in the Off position. Bring it up until the next click to the Auto position to activate automatic wiping.

Ah! I must have had it in the off position. Thanks. It seems counterintuitive to have the auto feature set on the infotainment *and* via a stalk position.

Must get around to reading the manual sometime. I wonder if there's a Kindle/iBook version available.... Must be.

To quote the marketing phrase "There's an app for that!".

"Skoda Manuals" is free in the relevant App Stores for iOS and Android.

It's via here. Easier to reference than PDF because it has interactive links and you can have both vehicle and infotainment manuals available.

Ah - iPad only!

No, I have it on Android :-).

Just no car.....lol

I guess it is operated by the stalk too so that you can easily and quickly turn them off!

Then you have the choice as you drive to either just have them off and flick them down to do one wipe as you wish or to turn them to auto or turn them on manually up another click or 2.
