Hi all, just been and bought myself entry to the mk2fl club.

11plate, 90k, reversing sensors, well looked after, 6spd manual, petrol. £7250

Few things I need help on:

1.the new octavia badges, will they fit on the mk2fl?

2.this is the second one I have seen and the front brakes, rather than being blocks, are shaped like wedges. These cars are miles apart and have the same issue (in my eyes).

Is this what the vrs does, or is there an issue?

There is a distinctive groove that runs the whole disc both sides , around 5mm from the top.

3. The rear caliper, I can't see the pad either side. Are there below their wear level or just how they look?

It was wet outside and I couldn't hear noises or feel any feedback and when they went on, they went on like anchors.

I haven't picked it up yet and have asked for photos to be sent. Will load them up when they come across.

Congrats on getting a FL. I'm over the moon with mine!

With point 2 above. Are you saying that the brake pads are tapered at the edge? I've seen that a few times on brake pads before for other cars.

I guess the inside pad isn't edged in.

Any resolve on the other items? Am I worrying about the brakes?

^^ from that picture it looks like the pads are wearing quite unevenly.

Nope they're fine each front pad has a chamfered  profile on each side

With the scoring, think that's an issue?

The back disc has a notable groove which you can rub with your finger and the front has a 2mm thick line around the whole disc, can't rub it off.

Cheers for the help on the above, cleared a few concerns. Picked it up yesterday and I love it. Struggling with the flat paddle accelerator over the hanging pedals. But il get use to it.

Quick question - bolero head unit, says phone on it, but all it does is mute sound. Mentions in the menus about Bluetooth audio but can't get it connected. What am I doing wrong?
