Steering developing fault ?

Featured Replies

I have a 2015 65' plate Octavia 2.0 SE L and it has this same issue, only appears after and hour or so driving. Been to dealer twice and have been told it is "steering preload" and is "normal". How ever I checked tracker for my vehicle during test drive and vehicle only covered 28mile max speed 61mph so fault wouldn't have showed. Covering 40,000 a year mostly motorway miles is not going to be enjoyable. Kris.

Thats interesting Kris thanks for the post ! Felt it again tonight on mine but like you only after 40 minutes or so .... If it's going to be a common problem it has to get sorted eventually. The more who post the more chance we have. Luckily the only motorway miles I do are on hols....

Ok an update on this fault after 140 miles of motorway driving the other week.

It seems to have cured itself .... Bit of muck on a sensor maybe ? Who knows....

At least its documented now. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again ...
